Tripp Lite Metered ATS / Auto Transfer Switch provides a redundant power option for single-corded network devices. Dual input cords support separate connection to PRIMARY and SECONDARY power sources. The ATS will normally maintain continuous output to all outlets as derived from the primary input cable. If the primary power source becomes unstable or fails altogether, the ATS will switch over to the secondary power source until the primary input is restored and stable. Super-fast switchover between primary and secondary power sources occurs within milliseconds. ATS functionality is supported by any two compatible AC power sources, regardless of phase angle, to support a variety of advanced redundant power networking applications. Enables fault tolerant hot-swappable UPS protection when used with a single UPS and fully redundant UPS protection when each cord is connected to a separate UPS system. In a two-UPS environment, the primary input cable must be supported by a full time sine wave UPS with zero transfer time. Tripp Lite SmartOnline series is highly recommended for use as the primary UPS in a two-UPS application. ATS configurations utilizing separate mains circuits, backup generators and even separate utility power grid feeds are fully supported. On-board ATS processor constantly evaluates power quality on both input sources to prevent transfer to the secondary source when unavailable or of lower quality than the primary source. Front input LED's display primary or secondary power availability.

Rated 5 out of 5 byJustSomeGuy from Special Price because it doesn't have the controller boardThe Controller board you want to order with this apparently is the SNMPWEBCARD. It's cheaper to get it with the unit. If you don't need web admin, then this unit is perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 byNima from Strange Detachable CordHi I have received my order from one of our suppliers and after opening the box I found out that the second source cord is strangely detachable! As long as this product is supposed to service the critical single corded IT loads, I could not figure out the reason for making it so! The other feature which a couldn't find was the ability to change between primary and secondary sources without rewiring and make outage to the loads! I have found other manufactureres products more expensive but with better features!

Rated 5 out of 5 byDave from the Gov. from Tested for yearsWe run an enterprise network for 250 End Users with multiple applications and systems. These devices are a nice tool for the price to help monitor the network and give some insurance in case a power source fails. I have had 4 of these online for years. No issues. The display indicates the amperage on the bus, which allows me to better balance my loads. I know exactly what is on each of my UPS systems. The fail over is fast enough from Pri to Sec to not lose a load. The Net card also allows for environmental monitoring, Input monitoring and control, as well as Load Control for cycling a load when needed. You can also shed your load so critical systems stay on the UPS longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 byNima from Test ResultsI've done extensive tests on this switch in order to compare and recommend the best solution for our single cord devices in data centers. The switching time of this product is unbelievable! Even with totally out of phase inputs. The only thing that I do like that this switch had is preferred source selection button in front panel which gives more flexibility.
