Great mobile monitor
Very happy with this purchase. I have to travel to client sites frequently and this is a great way to have an extra screen when I'm on-site. I have used it on vacation too. Performance is better than my laptop screen. Its the same size as my Thinkpad screen so it fits seamlessly. I definitely recommend this if you are thinking about a mobile monitor.

Great little, light portable monitor
Great portable monitor, easy to set up and use on any laptop with USB-C port. When I use this with my Lenovo T14s I also can verify that I can put my power input into the monitor, and it passes through to charge the laptop's battery without any problems.
Monitor is light. Folds nicely and slides into the include storage sleeve. There is an extra wedge on the bottom to help elevate the screen angle up a bit when deployed on my desktop - I do wish it would fold back a few degrees more, but not really an issue.

Triple Monitor Nomad
I ordered two of these for a triple monitor setup. The display is great, very intuitive to use, support for portrait mode is excellent and they're the same size as my Lenovo laptop monitor.
The small improvements I'd like to see:
* I had thought that I'd be able to daisy chain these together with my USB-C power to use just one port on my laptop. Unfortunately that's not supported so I need to use two, but it does work great as a triple monitor setup running from two USB-C ports.
* The USB-C ports are on opposite end of the ends of the monitor stand. This makes running multiple cables a little awkward and means the portrait monitor needs to be fed from the top. I would've preferred if the USB-C ports came off the back of the monitor stand instead to avoid this. It would also let me put the monitors into their protective sleeves without unplugging the cables.

I'm a work from anywhere graphic designer and this display has been great. for just that. The diplay is crisp, bright, and glare reducing. The only thing I will say is that I've had issues with connecting it (first because it needs to be plugged in with a 2-sided USB C cord and my ThinkPad only has 1 USB C port... the power one and secondly, not all 2-sided usb C cords have worked for connecting) and with the button resistance being greater than the friction this super-lightweight machine has with my desk (so when I push buttons I have to hold both sides of the screen so I dont just push the unit across the table). Just a few weird things but not enough to make me dislike the product.

This is a very unique and quality monitor. The small footprint is ideal and sits nicely next to my 14" laptop. Very lightweight. Love the case it comes with- plug in and it works not a lot of “getting started”. It has been working great for me on my work from home days as two screens is mandatory for what I do in my job. I did tons of research snd this portable monitor in the top 3 if not number one on most lists. The images are clear, colors look good. Overall I’m very happy with it. It was about $50 more than I thought I would spend but it came down $20 on cyber Monday and I got it- happy I did because it works well and it’s a more reputable company. It’s also great bc I can now

Simple to set up and use
This monitor is the same size as my 14" laptop screen, and has a folding base that allows it to be positioned at the same angle as the main screen. A single USB cord from the laptop supplies power and the video signal. Nothing else to do for setup.
The color quality matches the Thinkpad screen.
One feature that I like, though that someone else might see as a problem is that the monitor's resolution is less than my laptop's (1080x1920 vs 1440x2560). This means that on a busy full-screen app display such as Photoshop menus and other text is larger on this monitor that the laptop screen. To me this is a good thing. Other people may not like that an app's appearance is different on the two displays. Other people may have a 1080x1920 laptop screen so this isn't an issue at all.

Plug and play, the setup couldn't have been easier. My home office is a multi monitor set-up and wanted to bring that efficiency on the road to ensure my telework productivity wasnt limited. This monitor is perfect for me. I travel alot and I own a 14 inch lenovo laptop that supports this monitor. I don't need a second or third power supply for these two monitors. I am able to display my company emails, etc on one screen and then display my customers citrix environment on the other 2 screens, or when necessary I can display my customers citrix environment on all 3 screens. All I needed to do was to open the citrix environment on one screen, leave full screen mode, pull the display to cover more than half of the desired screens, then reselect full screen mode.

This unit is great for someone who wants the ability to have a light weight on the go monitor. I was really amazed by how thin and light the unit is, nice job Lenovo. The cost of the unit is also very reasonably priced for what you are getting. The only negative I would request for future design reviews would be how the unit connects to laptop, when the USB C comes out of the side to the laptop the bend radius of the cables because a nescience. Besides that everything about this product is 5 stars.

I purchased the Lenovo M14 monitor to use with my Lenovo X1 Carbon 7th gen laptop. I am new to multiple monitor setups, but decided the extra screen space might be worth it, and I am pleased to report I am very happy with my decision. It is most useful during times I am writing and use the extra space to display source materials while I type. I have noticed increased productivity with emails especially. The screen resolution and physical size is the same as the laptop at 14inches and 1920x1080, and the display stand allows the screens to match up next to each other very well. The kick stand under the base allows my mouse cable to pass under the corner of the screen comfortably. The base and hinge are reassuringly solid and stable. The pass through USB-C power works perfectly with the laptop which uses the same. The USB-C cable connection is reported to be much faster and more stable than wireless, and I have had no issues with videos or casual games. It worked perfectly right out of the box with no installation, just plug in and use. The screen scaling was different from the laptop at first, but was very easily changed in windows settings along with adjusting the screen position relative to the laptop monitor. The screen brightness of the monitor is listed at 300 nits, while the laptop is more, but for practical purposes the laptop screen is only 1 or 2 brightness notches brighter. This is just fine for me. The M14 comes with a cloth sleeve, with the outside made with something similar to felt, and the inside lined with a soft cloth. This sleeve covers the screen completely, and I was able to use it inside my existing laptop case as a protection from scratches. The bezel is large enough to allow you to pick it up without having to touch the screen with your fingers. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this monitor to anyone considering one.

Perfect second monitor for multiple applications
I picked this monitor up as I wanted a second monitor to use with my laptop when traveling or just to use around the house on various system that I have and supported two USB C ports it supports 1920 x 1080 IPS with display ports supporting 1.2 and 2.0. also for me the low blue light technology mad it easy on my eyes. It comes with a handy sleeve for protection as well. A worthwhile investment for a portable monitor especially for Laptop expansion.

Great mobile monitor

Excellent Blend of Price and Performance
I researched a bunch of portable display options by different manufacturers. This one won the search. The built-in stand was the best of the stand approaches I saw, simple, durable, and quick. The monitor is thin enough, think laptop-bag friendly. I haven't had it for long, but it seems durable. If I were to nitpick, it would be nits (brightness) which is absolutely fine for my needs, but might not meet the needs of some users with specific needs. But at this price, the brightness is better than expected. You can buy cheaper, but not with the Lenovo level of durability. This is worth paying a bit more for than some of the comparable alternatives.

Great monitor with one significant flaw.
The monitor itself is amazing - compact, crisp, and VERY easy to use and connect. 1 star off as I simply do not understand why a hard sleeve or protective cover was not included/created for this monitor. A felt bag is included, which will protect the screen from a minor scratch, but is NOT rigid enough to warrant storing or carrying this monitor in a bag as it will inevitably crack. Big omission IMO.

Portable and good quality
I love 2 screens at work and started researching screens that could be used with my laptop but wanted good quality. This screen fit the bill. It is light and portable and works great. I need CITRIX as well and as soon as I figured out how to set it up, have had no issues. I would recommend this to anyone needing portability and good quality.

Nice 2nd screen to telecommute anywhere
Great little monitor, lightweight, using it for split screen work while telecommuting both on the sofa and on the desk. Connects also to my phone, if I want to play video's. One gripe, it does not come with its own power supply, the pass-through power is a nice feature and works well with the new Lenovo laptops that use USB-C power supply, but less so when its power source does not use a USB-C connector.

Love the colors portrayed, the one cable for video & power, the portability, the storage sleeve, the stable stance of the screen, and that it was plug-n-play. Oh, and if you don’t like blue light, there’s a switch to filter that out.

Product is perfect, the case is garbage
This is everything I was hoping it would be and more. It's the perfect travel companion for setting up a mobile office. The screen resolution, brightness, tilt and adjustability are more than adequate for working indoors or on a plane, and the pass-through charging feature is a well engineered must have. It's probably not "gamer's PC quality" resolution but if you actually have a job and don't need to play minecraft or whatever then I would highly recommend it.
My one complaint is that it only comes with a felt sleeve and I can't get a real case for it anywhere. At some point I can see myself accidentally punching a hole through the screen while shuffling through airport security. Hopefully Lenovo makes something soon.....

Love this monitor.
Love this portable 14 inch monitor. Pairs perfectly with my 14 inch Lenovo T490 laptop. Has a beautiful screen and greatly improves my productivity. This monitor has pass through charging via USB-C which I love because with the monitor plugged up and charging my computer. I still have a open USB-C port available.

Love My M14 Portable Monitor
I have been waiting for a while for a portable monitor to increase my productivity while traveling. The other options didn't seem innovative enough. Indiegogo and Kickstarter screen dual monitors from "companies" like Slidenjoy, or whatever they call themselves now, ended up being scams to steal your money.
I am glad that Lenovo, a reputable company, got into this product market. I am a month in and I am loving my M14 Portable Monitor. It is super lightweight. It works flawlessly with my Lenovo Carbon X1 with usb-c power/data port. It sits perfeclty on my roost stand. And I even use the felt sleeve that it comes with as a wrist pad. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about it.

This is the perfect portable monitor for travel but also works as a great third monitor in our home office as it is still a good size. Also, the built-in battery is a huge difference maker for working while traveling as it prevents the monitor from draining my computer's battery allowing for much more working time.

Portability
Love having the portability to work from anywhere with dual monitors. I cannot efficiently do my job without two monitors and having a portable monitor that fits into my laptop bag is so much more convenient than trying to haul around monitor with all the cords to connect only need to connect with my laptop charger to be able to last (can be used without) and a cable between the two. Only downside is that is it smaller than I am used to.

Sharp and slim
As a city dweller, I searched for a 14 inch monitor that would fit ony desk and provide flexibility to manage multiple windows, docs and zoom while being kind to my failing eyesight. This is a great compact solution. In a perfect world it would be a touch screen like my yoga but I wouldn't sacrifice the size or add extra cables, so this works nicely. I honestly don't need a portable screen, just a tidy fit in a tight space.

Fantastic portable second screen!
Great portability and display quality. Aesthetically, looks seamless alongside my carbon laptop. Great that it has ports on both sides and a built in stand. I don’t have any use for portrait orientation, so no issue there. I tried another brand of portable monitor that was larger and also fantastic but ultimately chose this one for the portability and the stand.

Perfect travel monitor.
Awesome travel monitor (so light), bright and easy to operate. It also a little kickstand to have it as the same high as my thinkbook screen.
Also found out that you can plug power into one of the screen's usb and it'll charge the laptop (this is dependent on the cable used to connect to the laptop, my thunderbolt cable works but a regular alt-DP usb C will not)
Used apps to extend screen to tablet in the past and this is much much easier to manage.

The monitor works well my laptop! It comes with a usb-c cable so the cable connects the monitor to your laptop/system. Just remember you need this cable and it will only work if your laptop accepts a usb -c cable port too. Besides that, the screen of the monitor is impressive!

Great portable monitor
The monitor is bright and very responsive. The base is short, but a little thick. Overall, the monitor feels sturdy, but the thickness is about half to 1/3 of another laptop, so although it's very useful for multitasking on the go, you do need to allow for extra room.
The controls are easy to access and intuitive, and the fact that the USB-C inputs are on both sides of the monitor make orienting the monitor really easy. Everything appears bright and crisp on the display. The carry pouch is a nice piece as well - it definitely feels like it provides a fair amount of protection for the monitor.
Overall, the only thing holding this product back is the thickness of the panel and base together.

This is the portable monitor you want
I've used several other portable USB-powered monitors over the years, but this is the nicest one by far. It uses a USB-C DisplayPort alt-mode connection, so no driver installation needed for maximum performance. USB-C Power Distribution pass-thru lets you daisy-chain the display, your power cord and your laptop. The built-in adjustable stand allows for a similar range of display angles as a regular laptop screen, and includes a built-in "foot" that can raise it up to be just about even with the laptop's built-in display.
A couple of things to note - the display itself seems to consume about 30W from your USB-C power supply, so you'll need something that provides more power than that to use it with your laptop in daisy-chain mode. Make sure to check your laptop's USB-C ports, because not all of them support DisplayPort Alt mode, and won't work with this monitor. (Ports labeled as "Thunderbolt" will almost certainly work, but plain USB-C ports seem to be hit-or-miss - check your laptop's specs. It would be nice if the USB-C cable that came with the monitor had a right-angle plug on one end to allow for a more convenient arrangement on your desk.

The portable monitor does work well. Just plug it in and it works. You can connect from either side and has brightness controls. It can handle being connected to battery power from the laptop. It is lightweight and easy to move around. Comes with a nice sleeve cover for portability. I wouldn't call it a gamer or graphic productions "must have". But it does compliment a laptop very well and for those who hate being dominated by connecting your laptop to a larger traditional monitor....yes a must have.

Perfect for 2 monitor loving X1 Carbon travelers!
The M14 monitor is perfect with an X1 carbon. Now that I'm used to dual screens, I really want them when I am not at my desk. This setup works really well. I tried using a 3rd party cable with right angle connectors, but it didn't work (lower quality cable). But with the offset ports, I can get the monitors nearly side by side for a seamless cursor from screen to screen. Quality is great and I love the pass through power so you deal with only one power adapter. Minimizes travel accessories.

Disappointing Purchase
This was a very disappointing purchase that I bought as a gift. The original cable was undersized, too small to power unit. After a lengthy call to Lenovo, another cable was sent that presented the same issue. Had to PURCHASE a larger cable that now will power the unit.

Best Portable Monitor
I love this portable monitor! It is so thin and lightweight. It easily fits in my backpack so I can take it everywhere. The adjustable angle stand it great and much better than other portable monitors that have the folding stand. This stand allows you to adjust to any angle and not just set positions. The screen matches my laptop screen perfectly and is not reflective (does not create a glare). Definitely recommend it!

The ultimate portable screen
This is the perfect screen for weeks that I have to travel and am working from a hotel, airport etc. The screen itself requires nothing but a USB C connection to my laptop for power and fits neatly in the included case and also into my laptop carrying bag. Highly recommended for anyone that is on the go or is looking for a smaller second screen.

The perfect mobile work solution.
I’ve been a fan of my T480 since I got it but my wife in I needed a mobile working solution. After doing some research, I chose the M14 for its USB-C power through ability and exceptional resolution. It’s lightweight. It’s durable. It is a perfect mobile solution and for the price, I couldn’t find another option to handle the same job with the same efficiency of space and ability. We love ours so much that we are getting a second one so that the wife and I don’t have to share.

Perfect for Mobile Developers
I have been looking for a lightweight, portable monitor for quite awhile. I already had an MMT portable monitor that I had been using for years, but that required a separate plug to power the monitor. I have also been using a PackedPixels monitor which I love, but the screen was too small. I now use the ThinkVision M14 monitor with my PackedPixels monitor and it is perfect for mobile development as I have three screens I can use for whatever I need. The M14 is crisp and bright. I haven't used it outdoors yet in full sunlight, but it doesn't look like I will have any problems. I have also started using it along with my desktop setup, too.

Highly Productive Road Warrior
I had been working from home during COVID on a two monitor setup that was very productive. On my first couple of business trips after the COVID lockdown I realized that a portable monitor could make me equally productive while on the road. My ThinkVision M14 Portable Monitor arrived just in time for the business trip - in some very impressive packaging I might add. There were no issues with the setup to my T480 laptop. It is extremely light and has great resolution. I highly recommend the ThinkVision M14 Portable Monitor for the value and performance.

Adequate, bad for pairing with a 4K laptop.
Does exactly what it advertises. Quality construction and the screen is adequate.
My primary complaint is that the included cable is very thick and not very flexible at the best of times, but if in a cold environment, it can torque the entire monitor due to how light the screen is.
Additionally a word of caution—my laptops screen is 4K and I think 500nits. There is a more severe juxtaposition between the 1080p visibly dimmer screen and my laptops primary screen. I didn’t think I would notice or care as much as I have found myself distracted by this. Subsequently I will be updating to a 4k, 400+ nit secondary portable monitor as soon as they start to become more available.
I used some Lenovo points toward my purchase of the monitor which lowered its cost to $80 shipped, but I don’t actually know if it’s visual quality meets it’s current full price point.

Amazing Quality, Thoughtful Design
Incredibly easy to use. Image quality is fantastic. There are some very thoughtful design and engineering decisions that went into creating this. For example, there are USB C ports on both sides of the monitor that allow the user to use a shorter cable but still place the monitor where they want thus eliminating cable clutter. Also there is a small, secondary kickstand built into the bottom of the unit that allows it to be raised slightly so as to match the height of most laptops. This is a must buy for anyone that needs a second screen but has limited desk real estate.

It appears to be somewhat limited on ports, no Bluetooth or WiFi that I’ve found so the cable though cleverly can connect on either side its the cable that annoys me. Lenovo CS is short and unenthusiastic about assisting with questions and for that I’ feel it deserves a 3. I’m sure there’s a connecting cable that will connect a RPI PI4 just haven’t looked hard enough I suppose. My iPad 12 pro took to its configuration like a velvet glove. Simple and quick. Great overall monitor . I’d buy again.

I had an AOC portable monitor with a larger screen that fell and the screen broke. Got this as a replacement. This monitor is smaller but the image is a lot better and I do not miss the larger monitor. The smaller size and compact design also makes it more convenient for traveling. I also like the monitor base that allows you to adjust the monitor in a 90 degree plane. The only downside is that the cable that connects the laptop to the monitor is stiff so you have to allow room for it when you are working. I am very happy with this purchase.

Works great with both my work and personal laptops. Took a couple tries to find the right cables to connect to a mini DisplayPort on my old t460p, but it’s working without issue. This is actually lighter an easier to transport than my iPad I was using before. I travel frequently and this offers fills the need for more screen real estate with lout being so large to be a burden.

Check your display settings if mirroring
I have a lenovo laptop so this truly was a plug and play experience. The only issue I had was it was mirroring my laptop monitor rather than being detected as a second monitor. I had to make my display orientation be landscape and select extend these displays to make it go across both monitors. Then it functioned perfectly. I am so happy I bought it for use when traveling. Once I got the display settings sorted, it takes all of 30 seconds to pull out and plug in and go now. My productivity would have died without it.

The lighting at its max setting is very dim. It’s not as adjustable in position as I anticipated. You must use the Lenovo brand usb c to usb c cord. Other brands DO NOT work. It’s light and portable.

Bought this for when I travel and/or doing any DJing/MC work.
Overall this works quite good, though you have to do a little research, as to what devices this will actually work with -
it's works fine with my Lenovo Laptop for work (Lenovo L14/L 15 - I think?), plus my Lenovo M75n IoT PC (which is what I got it for), and my Motorola One Zoom cell phone, perfectly fine - doesn't work with my Lenovo M75q-1 Tiny PC.
The screen quality is very good! It's at passive monitor (needs power from "parent" device), lightweight, and a built in stand.
Very good monitor, for someone needing a lightweight screen when traveling or needing that extra screen for more windows up or watching a show on a larger screen from your cell phone.
Just remember, this monitor had two USB-C ports, so microUSB does not work with it.

This monitor is awesome. The only thing I want to see in the next generation is Retina resolution. I use this with my 13" MacBook Pro. As a designer, I need higher resolution. The design, footprint and price is awesome. I found the provided Thunderbolt cable a little bulky and ended up getting a slimmer Apple branded cable. This makes much more sense than spending $1000+ on 12.9 iPad Pro to use with the Sidecar feature.
I love this monitor. Hope the next version is a 4K version.

This monitor is a very well made, lightweight product, but with very limited functionality. The main problem is that display and power run through the same USB C connection. I have tried several ways around the problem, with no success. I purchased the docking station from the advice of the "technical sales online support", that didn't work, I was then told to buy an adapter to covert it to HDMI, that didn't work. I reread the instructions on set up. In it it says that the monitor can display and charge your laptop, but nobody seems to know how that actually works, and the instructions certainly doesn't provide that, either. So a great product for displaying a second screen, but buyer beware, your laptop has no way to charge because the same connection for the M14 monitor display also charges the laptop and you can't do both at the same time.

The monitor was beautiful and well designed. Unfortunately, I was not able to use it because it only supports USB-C. It did not work with an adapter for USB-C to HDMI and I had to return it. If I upgrade my laptop, I will definitely love to repurchase it again.

This portable screen is superb for anyone who constantly works on the go and needs another screen. The Charge-through option is remarkably convenient and indispensable.
That being said, the Customer Service at Lenovo is absolutely dreadful. The item shipped two full weeks later than the original promised ship date and getting ahold of a representative was near-impossible. I eventually got so fed-up that I tried cancelling the order, at which point the cancellation was ignored and the item was shipped regardless. I still love the ThinkVision M14 but Lenovo really put me through the ringer.

Amazing mobile monitor
When I first saw images of the M14, I couldn't believe my eyes that such a stylish and matching device could be so portable and work with so many devices. I purchased this with an X280 laptop and found that they look fantastic together. Also, on both Windows and Pop!_OS, setting up the monitor is amazing. There really are no drawbacks to this monitor; it looks better than comparable non-mobile monitors at this price and even has more features with the blue-light reduction and 100 levels of brightness control. This might even become my standard external monitor for home office usage.
The only negative aspect of this product is it would be amazing if it was able to house a battery as well. If it could charge and run off of battery before using the laptop's energy, that would be unreal. However, as it is now, I'd probably only use it with my laptop plugged in.

Totally worth the money.
Fantastic display. I got it to go with my new Legion5 Lenovo laptop for CAD. Super portable. The only thing I didn’t like is it only has a usbC display port so I can’t use it with an older product easily. The case it comes with is nice, but I wonder about how easily the screen will break. Hopefully never at this price.

Great travel monitor.
I have had 4 different external travel monitors for work and this is far and away my favorite. It is extremely small when folded up and it is completely plug and play. With my Lenovo work laptop the monitor is the same as the laptop screen so it works great extending. For my Dell personal laptop it works just as great. Overall very happy.

Perfect Replacement for ThinkVision LT1421
I bought this to replace my old ThinkVision LT1421 portable monitor which was great but finally kicked the bucket last year. This upgraded model is exactly what I was looking for and works amazing. Super light weight, slim, easy to travel with, easy to use (USB-C and pass through charging are both huge bonuses). I don't have any issues with the felt carrying case and don't feel concerned at all that it could break in transit, I store it face flat against my laptop and haven't had any problems. Overall extremely happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone.

I think this is a fantastic monitor if you have the available thunderbolt usb c port on your computer. works terrifically and does not require external power, just connects to the laptop you're using.
One thing that I wish was more explicit is that these cannot be daily chained - you cannot go computer - M14 monitor - M14 monitor. If you have two thunderbolt ports on your laptop you can use each one individually connected to the computer.

I have been wanting a portable monitor to use with my Surface Pro 3 for years. There are several "cheap" options available but the reviews are all the same: bad color and poor brightness. Since I would use it for photo editing, color accuracy is very important, not to mention clarity and brightness. The ThinkVision M14 monitor is virtually perfect. The color and brightness are really good - on par with my Surface display as well as my MacBook screen. Although the limited connection is a bit frustrating, I know the exclusive USB-C connection will eventually be more common. For now, the Wacom Link Plus adapter works perfectly at allowing the ThinkVision M14 to connect with Mini DisplayPort and HDMI. Overall, the ThinkVision M14 was a very good purchase and I'm glad that I discovered it instead of settling for a mediocre alternative.

Great monitor, but I'm a nitpicky person.
Although this has been commented on in other reviews, I didn't realize how light this thing really was until I got my hands on it. That's a good thing, as it means it doesn't add much weight when I carry it around with my laptop. The included cable is a bit stiffer than I would like, but it works fine. The finish has a documented issue where, in the right light, it appears greasy, but I've gotten used to that with Lenovo products by now. The included sleeve is very good, but it would be better if it had a separate pocket for the cable. overall, I'm very satisfied, and none of those nitpicks will really affect my use of it (schoolwork.

This is an excellent product! I've purchased several different portable monitors before this one, but am super happy with this one. Love the minimalistic yet stylish build & form-factor, the kickstand and base are absolutely perfect. Con: doesn't yet come in 15.6-inch, hope Lenovo makes that one soon! This extra monitor is awesome. I spent a while looking at portable screens that I could take with my laptop wherever I go and I'm glad I went with this one. Best portable screen for on the go work
If you are like me and can't work with a second screen, this is the perfect addition to your setup. My work requires me to be on the move, I don't get the luxury of having a large monitor when I am at the office. This is the perfect addition to my setup and has allowed me to increase productivity. The screen is an exact copy of the 14" laptop screens and includes a blue light filter for when working late at night or in dark rooms. It is very lightweight and easy to transport. It comes with its own sleeve that keeps the screen secure.

Great little monitor!
I bought this monitor because I wanted to maximize my desktop size with a 14" Dell laptop on a small desk. This portable monitor fit the bill! I have only used it for a few weeks, but it has been working perfectly. It's easy to pick up and move wherever I decide to set up around the house, and there was no setup required -- just plugged it into my laptop.
The only disappointment I had was that I tried to purchase the adapter that allows you to plug the monitor straight into the wall (instead of drawing power from the laptop). However, the adapter that the manual says you should use is not available for purchase at Lenovo anymore. Luckily, I had no issues getting power from my laptop (I was afraid it would draw too much power, causing issues with my laptop).

Lightweight & Works Well
I had been looking for a monitor so that I could have two screens between my laptop and the monitor. However, I like to switch where I am working from and had been putting off the decision. My friend recommended this monitor to me and it is lightweight, a reasonable price, and works great. The only downsides are that my phone (Pixel 3a) does not connect to it due to something on the phone's ability to project and that I had to buy a shorter USB-C to USB-C cord since the provided one was getting in the way. Be aware that your computer needs to have a USB-C port for the connection as well.

Thin, convenient, robust!
While not the perfect picture quality, this is thin, withstands my rough travel, and works great. I have to have multiple screens to keep my productivity up, and I travel around for work all the time, this easily slips into my laptop bag, and pulls out. I have tried other USBC portable monitors, nothing lives up to the lenovo standard to take a beating and keep working.

A game changer!
My home set up consists of a laptop and a larger monitor. When I'd travel, it used to be just my laptop which always seemed to cut into my productivity, and I'd also pack my iPad since it was easier to use during presentations. This portable monitor is a game changer; it's very light weight and super easy to set up and you can either mirror screens for presentations or set it up as a separate screen so I can regain the productivity of having two screens.

Portable monitor with light weight yet powerful
This portable monitor is light yet powerful. The resolution is high and definitely above regular standard monitor. It comes with carry bag making even better to carry around. Doesn’t require power cord in which it’s perfect for traveling.

excellent mobile 2nd monitor
this thing checks all the boxes, and is an invaluable addition to my travel bag, for someone who is used to a dual-monitor setup at my desk. Brightness/quality is good enough to match standard T-series screens (300-nit versions), or middle/top-quality screens from other brands. If you have one of those 400/500-nit 4k screens on your laptop, it will be hard to match that, so this is probably your best bet unless you want to spend a small fortune.
Very slim, love that it comes with a felt sleeve to keep it safe. The integrated flip stand is awesome in use, but creates a potential issue when stowed in your bag - be sure to place this in your bag so that this screen and the screen of your laptop are adjacent. if you place the stand side against your laptop, then if the bag gets compressed, it could put stress across the middle of the screen. Doesn't need a design change, it's just you have to be careful to avoid damage.

The only down side to this is the unique, product specific cord meaning you can't use any standard USB C. However, it is a perfect monitor that I use for both travel and in my office. I've recommended others get the same model. It is great.

I am so upset right now. I bought this portable monitor for my mom as a Christmas gift. Turns out it isn't compatible with her computer. I bought this monitor in November and at the time they had a holiday return policy that would allow me to return this by end of January. Interestingly now I can't find that policy anywhere. I called customer service, and they will not allow me to return it. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told the queue to speak with one was too long and to call back. Absolutely unacceptable and I think the folks that work there would agree if the roles were reversed.

Lenovo is a great innovator, but..
The monitor has excellent potential but ends up missing the mark. A 4K panel would have made this a Great monitor and worth a higher price point, but its woefully low resolution and complex power requirements leave me wanting more. Selling a screen protector for this would have made it an instant buy for me. I found a Yoga screen protector on my own; it fits well but is not great. Come on, Lenovo.

I started a new work from home position. At first I was super spoiled with a multi-display, giant monitor set up. Then I decided to try and work from the road. And I tried to bring a 30' monitor from hotel room to hotel room. I didn't even know a portable monitor was a thing until I started a deep dive. This thing is incredible! So light and portable. USBC port on both sides so you can place it however works best for you. Adjustable stand. I did a bunch of research and am extremely glad I didn't cheap out. This is a great product.

Lightweight Portable Monitor
This is a nice lightweight, portable monitor. The resolution is nice and does not affect my laptop some of the other portable monitors do. The passthrough port works well for display and power to my X1 Carbon. I did need to make sure that the drivers were updated and reboot my laptop initially, but works well since then. The case for the monitor is nice, but I am still concerned about cracking the screen since there is not a hard cover or protection.

Just get it, you won't regret it.
I normally use two monitors in my offices. Knowing how much I hated just using the laptop the last time I traveled, I decided to try this to give me more screen. It is surprisingly perfect for when I need to use my laptop. I can review documents while typing, I can have a zoom up on one screen and take notes on the other. It just makes everything so much easier.

Perfect companion to a 14" convertible
I was looking for a portable monitor to complement my Yoga 9i 14 ITL. The M14 fits the bill perfectly. The panel size perfectly matches that of my Yoga, and while the brightness is lower on paper specs, it is perfectly sufficient for an indoor home office environment, especially with its matt finish. Ergonomics are great - the hinge is tight, the base is stable, and having USB-C ports on either side provides for versatile connection options. I've had the M14 to the left, right, above, and below my Yoga screen. It's actually the Yoga having both its port on one side that gets in the way, but I managed to work around that with some creative cable management.
Overall, the product performs as advertised, and I am perfectly happy with it.

The monitor itself works well without any issues, set up is very easy. However, the travel sleeve did not come with a convenient area to store the cable and therefore it must be either stored separately or shoved into the sleeve which creates a bulge which might damage the monitor if pressed together in a tight backpack.

Great Monitor for Road Warriors
This is a terrific, lightweight portable monitor that has excellent brightness and resolution. I have used other brands of portable monitors but none can compete with the quality of this one. I love how thin and flat the monitor folds and how it fits neatly in my computer bag. I take it with me everywhere I travel and my productivity on the road has skyrocketed. Don't buy one of those "no name" monitors. Get this Lenovo for superior resolution, brightness, responsiveness, and portability.

Phenomenal! I tried some budget monitors that were 75% of the price, and they quickly made my eyes tired. The difference in quality between my laptop and portable monitor was drastic. However, the M14 is just as good as the laptop monitor, and is extremely light and portable.

It's light. It's bright. It just works. This is an elegant way to have an extra display at your disposal while not in your command center of an office. You may want to use windows display settings to scale it down a notch. The default settings are a little large and sometimes don't allow enough content to be displayed.

Amazing product. Sleek and light weight. I carry it while I travel and can easily use this as an extended screen when I review documents, presentations. The screen resolution and quality is simply awesome. It has 2 USB ports that's great. The only issue I noticed is, the brightness buttons doesn't work when we enable Blue light filter. Blue light filter can bother your eyes in the dim light areas. One other enhancement can be, USB chargeable port. Sometimes I use my phone to connect to screen to manage photos using Samsung Dex and my phone doesn't charge if I add power supply to the screen using the other USB port.

The screen itself is fine, but it causes my brand new P14s to lock-up every time you try to wake it from the screen being off. It requires a hard reset. If I unplug the M14, everything goes back to normal. Very annoying.

Great 2nd monitor for a laptop, easy "plug and play". I tried connecting to my desktop as a 2nd monitor does not work for me. I tried various connection port combinations with adapters, but no luck. Lenovo support team says I need a lightning bolt USB-C port on the desktop.

5 Star Functionality - set up and use. I learned about this type product at work and previously had no idea a travel monitor existed. I got this for a work from home day and it worked perfectly. Super easy to set up, just connect to laptop with included cable and click on the power button. Couldn't be any easier to use. Image was clear and functional. Made working from home a lot easier with the additional screen. Very pleased with this product. Highly recommend.

The M14 has much to appreciate.
I really like my ThinkVision 14 inch Portable Moniter - M14. I appreciate how it has a usb-c on both sides for me to plug into, how it has pass-through charging so I can power my laptop, how it is very thin and light-weight, and how great the build and image quality are. It's also very bright. I haven't tested it outside though.

It didn't work on my notebook. Since I connect, the monitor goes to sand-by mode. I search for help and find out that many users have the same problem. Seams to be a not resolved issue.

A great second display for a laptop
Until I went on the Lenovo Website to look for a monitor to add as a second display for my Lenovo X1 Carbon laptop (6th gen) I had no idea one like the M14 Portable even existed and was so glad to find something as minimal in form but the same actual display size as the X1's own with nearly as high resolution. It took some trying to successfully connect it to the X1 and get it going but once doing so, it's been all I hoped it would be.

Display settings are perfect right out of the box. I only had to plug in and power on the computer with no issues. Signipicant upgrade from my last portable monitor that always defaulted to 30% brightness when powered on. Only downside is little prtection for the monitor while traveling besides the sleve. But appreciated that it is included.

Excellent Addition To My Road Warrior Kit
It's light and the USB-C connection means no need for another a power supply. So I can drop it into my laptop bag and hardly notice the weight. The ergonomics are good with the little kickstand helping to batch the height of the laptop display. Biggest surprise is how crisp & bright the display is.

Excellent second monitor for traveling
I have become accustomed to working with two monitors on my desk in order to have multiple documents and spreadsheets open, so traveling with just my laptop feels a bit cramped for working that way. The M14 portable monitor frees up screen space so I can work more efficiently. The M14 worked without any setup needed as soon as I plugged it in. It looks great, is lightweight, and is very slim in my laptop case.

A great option for the price conscious consumer.
I purchased both the M14 and the M14t just to have an additional monitor available, but also to compare the two items.
Between the two, I prefer the sharpness of the M14t, but from a price point perspective, the M14 is not a bad choice either because a portable monitor is an excellent resource to have.
The storage case is nice and protective and the slim profile allows me to use it between two devices, with a simple plug and play switch.

The screen has better quality than my laptop. The only qualm I have is that there is minimal protection on the screen. For being portable, it would be nice to have a bit of protection that folds over the screen. Fortunately, they provided a felt sleeve.

Charging Required for The Monitor to Work
It connects to my laptop and it drains my laptop from battery faster than without the monitor. It gets charged and connected by USB type-C charger. If your laptop has 2 USB Type-C ports, then you can even charge the laptop and connect the M14 Portable Monitor at the same time. This is what I do and I have no problem with.
Fortunately, the M14 Portable monitor also has 2 USB Type-C ports which means you can plug the charger to M14 monitor and connect the monitor to the laptop. This will also keep your laptop charged.

A bright, solid, and practical portable monitor
Lenovo was honestly not my first thought when it came to looking for a portable monitor, despite most of our computers and tablets being Lenovo devices that we're very pleased with - I just didn't think of them being in the marketplace. But when I started searching, the ArsTechnica review of portable monitors immediately surfaced the M14 as being one of the best - and we are very pleased with the purchase!
The construction is very solid but still slim and attractive - the base is well weighted and the hinges are sturdy, there's no worries that the monitor is going to tip or fall even when used outdoors in windy conditions. The connections are simple - just plug the USB-C cable into any device that supports video over USB-C and you're up and running; and if that device can support being charged at the same time over that port, you can plug your power supply into the M14's second port and provide power to the M14 and charge your device at the same time with a minimum of cables.
In use so far the display has been quite adequately bright, although we haven't used it outdoors in bright sunlight (any display struggles there, of course) - and the onboard blue-light filtering is a nice touch in darker use situations. The provided carrying sleeve (almost like a think felted material) is also really nice, although I've cautioned everyone in the house to put the monitor alongside their laptop if they're carrying it in a bag to ensure the display doesn't get flexed and cracked.

Game Changer
I didn't realize how much I needed this until I had it. I'm currently recovering from a back injury and have to work from bed. It's been a serious challenge without a regular monitor to extend my laptop screen. I can plug this in and sit it on the bed, move it to my lap, prop it against a pillow, move it to the couch, even hold it over my head if necessary. And the ability to travel with it will make working away from home so much easier as well.

Information regarding the 3-year warranty
After 2.5 years of daily usage, vertical lines appeared on my M14, which is still under the standard 3 year warranty. I reached out to Support for a repair request. I was told that damage isn't covered under the terms, which I understand. However, I was surprised to find out that Lenovo does not offer repairs even at the owner's expense.
The lesson learned for me here is that the warranty means very little as the product is not meant to be repaired. If you have accidental coverage, Lenovo would likely just replace it. But otherwise, it's pretty much like no warranty.
As far as the monitor itself, overall it was pretty good - the display is clear, accurate color representation (for a portable), and lightweight. Part of the design does lead to connection issues as I sometimes had to adjust the USB-C cable at just the right angle for the display to work properly.

I have had multiple lenovo M14 monitors. They are great until they don't connect, which is all the time. I have spent literally dozens of hours on the phone with tech support and trying to download new driver. DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR. IT IS THE WORST MOBILE MONITOR ON THE MARKET. Terrible experience
Ordered this monitor from Lenovo so I could work while traveling. Never received the product, and despite having multiple calls with customer service still haven’t received a monitor or a refund. Paid $250 to waste a bunch of time. Absolutely useless. Will never order from the company again.

Nice Little Screen
This is a nice screen perfect for multitasking and very easy to carry around. The case it comes with is very soft and feel like I can carry it around in my bag without fear of it getting scratched. It also helps it’s just one extra cable to my setup.

Very nice (extension) monitor for road warriors
The portable monitor is lightweight and good sized with brightness that matches my X1 Carbon. However, I am concerned with travelling with this monitor. It does come with a sleeve but it is kind of bulky. I would have preferred some sort of hard protective cover instead. Even something like the magnetic screen covers that you can get with an iPad would be better than the sleeve.

Some issues
The product arrived broken. The screen display in the top left only display a black box. Unable to figure out the customer service to get support for the display issue. It is easy to set up and easy to transport. I also bought two thinking I could display two screens at the same time. The only way this is possible is using the battery port. The problem is that the two screens drains the battery very quickly. The price is also very reasonable.

Missing a part
The monitor is great but it is missing one of the little "feet" on the bottom. Lenovo can't just send the tiny piece so instead they want me to return the entire thing. It seems like such a waste of time and money for a very small part.

Best accessory screen I’ve used
This is probably one of the best accessory screens I have ever used. This screen is super lightweight and is a great add on to any Lenovo laptop purchase. It matches perfectly with my 14” X1 Carbon. It is an absolute must have if your into productivity and workflow. It comes with a great soft protective sleeve to keep it ready to go.

Love this portable monitor so much, has drastically improved my WFH setup. I am SHOCKED by how thin this monitor is and how beautiful the display is. I absolutely love that it comes a thin case, it fits the monitor, the cable and my headphones! So easy to transport through airports when travelling. The best part of this monitor is the built in kickstand, it doesn't add much bulk and it prevents the annoyance of the monitor flopping over while you are working (have experienced this with other portable monitors).

Good quality, convenient product
Good resolution. Convenient with a Macbook Pro because I have plenty of extra USB-C ports. My only issue is when working directly from the laptop keyboard and touchpad, it's difficult to position the monitor in a way that doesn't require neck strain. I'm sure there's a better way to set it up, but I haven't figured it out yet.

Small. Sleek. Portable. I'd say the one downside is that the screen doesn't auto adjust the size of the window when I drag it over -- may be settings I need to learn. But overall a great monitor and super happy with the value for the price.

Great for work on the go
Great portable monitor. I work remote and often will find myself in situations where I’m trying to travel and work at the same time. At home, I’ve got three screens I can spread my excel sheets across, but on the go I was struggling to be effective on my small laptop screen. This monitor changed that. I can be an effective analyst anywhere in the world with this easily portable screen. Highly recommend!

Beware! Not Docking Station Compatible!
I'm giving the ThinkVision 14 inch Portable Monitor - , 1-star because it doesn't work with a docking station, and will immediately go into "Stand-by" mode. If I would've known this, I would have never bought it.
My work laptop is an older generation ThinkPad, so there is only one USB-C port. Which the external monitor uses a lot of power and drains the laptop battery fast. Basically, I was only able to use the monitor for 50-mins, before my battery was at 10%.
Please fix this issue, or at least put a disclaimer in the description. This was a waste of money.

Project Work Time Cut in HALF!
I utilize this monitor as an additional screen at my workstation. The additional desktop space to work with has cut much of my workflow time in half. I couldn't be happier with this product, after trying several other screens I have found this one to be the most capable, functional, and portable!

Multiple monitors to go!
I got so used to having multiple monitors at the office, and now I get to have two while traveling as well. This monitor is so lightweight and came with its own sleeve to protect it when on the go. I take it everywhere with me. Love it.
