Prior to buying directly from Lenovo, I bought a "Lenovo" charger from Amazon on two different occasions. They both quit working after a few months. Even though it costs a little more, going directly to Lenovo, it is cheaper in the long run. I've had no issues with the charger I bought from Lenovo and it has been more than a few months.

Problem with cable connector
This power adapter works adequately, but the cable that connects the adapter to the plug is too loose (that is the other end from the plug itself) and keeps coming out, which means that my battery doesn't continue to charge. I need to constantly check that the cable is connected to the adapter. This doesn't happen with my older adapter, so I didn't expect this problem. I bought this extra adapter so that I could keep one at home and carry one to work when I bring my laptop to work.

The right power cord!
When my puppy chewed through the cord of my power adapter for my X1 Carbon at the end of December, I needed the right power cord--which was impossible to find in-stock locally. Very happy that a Lenovo online rep helped me ensure I was ordering the right one and that it could deliver fairly quickly, considering the New Year's holiday. Without a power cord, there's so much of life that can't be handled.

Power adapter good but not perfect
I purchased a second adapter so I had one for home and on the road. It appeared, as expected, identical with the one I currently used. The only problem was that the USB connection end was somewhat loose in fitting, so I had to be careful about checking it periodically to ensure that my laptop was receiving power. This was annoying, but otherwise the adapter seems to be operating just fine and so far I have had no other problems with it.

It works, with some caveats. The cable from the plug to the block is short, so it cannot be set on a table or even most chairs, cluttering the desktop with the longer cable (from block to laptop). It frequently falls to the floor, taking desk items with it. One in 5 travel locations had a chair that could hold it together. The charging tip does not fully connect and light up the charging. I have to switch PC inlets every time and during charging sometimes. It also gets hot at about 70% charge and falls out of the PC inlet. I was assured 3x by Lenovo that this 65w Power Adapter is correct for my laptop.

It is what the website said it was—except for the part about it being “in stock”.
Less than 24-hours after placing my order, I received a noticed saying my order would be delayed. So instead of receiving it within a week—ish, it took more like 3 weeks.
I bought this as a secondary/backup cord for traveling so it’s not like I was dead in the water without it but still, it would have been helpful to have it sooner.

The power charger with usb-c connection does not work. I bought my Lenovo and it arrived with a usb-c power connection. The original out of the box does not work. Nor the the replacement. So I ordered a standard power adapter. Thank goodness Lenovo put both usb-c and standard adapter on the laptop.

What can you really say about a power supply brick
Power supplies are not sexy but they are necessary. I have two places where I use my computer, a table where I may do some work and in my easy chair so I needed an additional power supply for the other locations. I have 2 laptops that use the same kind of charger. My cheaper off-brand charger broke, and I wanted to have a charger for each laptop. I was going to buy a cheap charger from Amazon, so I looked up my old orders to remember what kind of charger I need. When I looked at my purchase history, I realized that in the past I have bought several cheap chargers. Only my old Lenovo charger has remained solid for me. So I switched to Best Buy's website and paid a little more to get another Lenovo that will last for a long time. I have not received my order since November and when I called to ask about it I was told to wait until some investigation before I could get my refund or a shipment! That is some nonsense after i have already being charged for a product that never shipped and Lenovo could see that the product never left the shipping facility. Why should you keep my refund pending an investigation into your mess?

I know that there is an adapter that comes with the laptop, but it's always nice to have one that you can just keep in your bag and have it ready to go at all times without unplugging from your desk setup. Highly recommend just adding this to your purchase options.

Ok its a power cord to recharge my lap top. Nothing fancy here. To order was easy. Shipment was ahead of schedule. There were cheaper alternatives but i went for the replacement by the manufacturer not the secondary market replacements. i am using the new charger for my office so i do not have to carry a charger around with me.
Here is the rub. The connection to the laptop is very delicate and will bend if one is not very careful. Once it bends even a little that's it you need another unit. A design flaw or a slick sourse of income. Hence the plethora of off market options.

I browsed a lot of iffy slightly-cheaper choices on amazon before settling on this one directly from Lenovo. After receiving it, I'm glad I went this direction. It's crisp, undamaged, and works perfectly as intended right out of the box with no hassle, no cheap idiosyncrasies or corners cut. If you're looking for a replacement charger that just works, spend the extra money and avoid the headache of "compatible" competitors.

Charger meeting all expectations.
This charger has one job, and it does it well. Not having a ground is nice because there's no worry whether the outlet will have a third hole. I like that it separates and I can store the cords in separate compartments that I won't remember.

This power adapter is reliable, it's great to have an extra on hand. While it may cost a bit more than a third-party brand, the extra cost is worth it (especially if you've ever had a third-party power adapter that blew out the electrical system of a laptop).

I tried third party power supplies with my Thinkpad P15s 1st gen and my laptop would crash or freeze when plugged in, despite the USB C power standard and the power supply having the same wattage. This official Lenovo supply works fine. It's a bit more expensive, but worth the price.

I went to a lot of trouble finally getting a Lenovo customer service rep to find the right power cord for my laptop. He assured me this was the right kind. I charged it for 4 days while I was on vacation, came back, and my laptop was not only not charged up, but completely dead. I thought the hard drive was ruined and I had so much stuff on it. When I finally got back to work and charged it up with the original power cord, it came right on. I paid $65 for this product, and not only did it arrive 2 days late after a guaranteed 2 day delivery, but it was damaged. When I tried to look into returning it, I had to request a return by e-Mail before it was “approved”. 2 days later I get this very rude and technical e-Mail stating all these requirements and stipulations for how to “properly” return it. I will never be ordering another product from Lenovo.

An extra power adapter gives me great flexibility
A recent stroke left me partially handicapped. So, I bought a new Lenovo ThinkPad laptop so I could work from many locations. I also invested in a docking station, so I could use my desktop devices when in my home office. Finally, I bought a second power adapter, so I don't need to move my power supply when moving between my two most common locations. Now, I can simply unplug my laptop from my power adapter and docking station and quickly change locations easily. Not the Sleek Little Adapter with the Computer!
it's a power supply, that's about it. It is not however the nice, small one that comes packaged with the computer, it is larger and heavier and bulkier without the rounded edges of small one. I bought the second adapter to keep in my travel bag and as a local backup. It now becomes the one behind the desk that doesn't get moved. Lenova should identify that it is different (larger, heavier and less-friendly designed) than the charger that ships with the computer. Too bad. It however works like any other charger, charging.

Failed to charge my E495 Lenovo laptop
This expensive charger did not work with my E495 Lenovo laptop (now discontinued), even though it is listed as being compatible on the Lenovo support website. The same laptop does slow charge using a generic 5v USB charger. Based on similar reports by other E495 owners, I suspect my two year old laptop is defective, making this my last Lenovo purchase.

Not perfect, the cord does fall apart quite easily. So as I'm charging the computer, the actual cable disconnects from the brick and so it still looks like it's charging as it's plugged into my computer, but it isn't. A bit of an annoying problem. But sufficient.

This power adapter is small, easily portable, and able to charge my laptop decently quickly. I mean it's a laptop charger its not exactly gonna water your fields and cook you dinner, but it does exactly what you'd expect it to do and it does it well. All in all I'd say it's a good product choice if you need a laptop charger with this sort of laptop connector. 5/5 would buy again if I needed another laptop charger, though I now have 2 so hopefully I won't.

Larger than the one that came with my old X230 Thinkpad, but this one stays cool. It does the job. I use it with my X13 Gen 3, which also came with an identical one that stays in my laptop bag for travelling. It is a pain getting under the desk to unplug power adapters whenever I travel.

65W USB C power adapter for T490 / T14
New USB C tip needed to correctly charge USB C and thunderport on T490. It would be better if the Thinkpads reverted back to older round power jacks that are angled and more robust than theses chargers with straight USB C tips, as per newer Ideapads. New charger did the job but the internal USB C jack on motherboard is a weak point.
Thiis T490 replaced another T490 where the internal USB C power port was not charging without jiggling the cable even with a new charger and had to revert to the Thunderport for charging reliablely and redoing battery power settings so that battery does not go too low and I lose work when I thought it was charging with the power port plugged in. It seems that this is a common problem with the USB C power port and jack on the Thinkpads.

It works fine, but the cable could have been made to be detachable to improve the overall life of the product. Cables are wear items more than the power supply brick and there's no reason besides planned failed for this design.

I have only used a few laptops. The Lenovo ThinkPad is my favorite. It is very light, easy to carry when traveling or just room to room. The picture is great and the sound is the best I have experienced in a laptop. My favorite feature is the keyboard. I would have liked it to be a little smaller but am happy overall.

There really is no substitution for the real deal! After my original charger broke I tried to find a knock off version at other online retailers. Those all broke within weeks. I use my laptop daily for school so I really needed a reliable charger. I finally ordered one straight from Lenovo and I'm glad I did! It works great and shipping was super quick!

The power cord easily separates from the adapter. The little end that plugs into the computer is easily bendable. It got bent in normal use within weeks of my owning the computer. I'm incredulous that Lenovo would provide a part that is so fragile.

Bought as a spare cable for my Thinkpad X1 Yoga (gen 3). Haven't used it much yet. Seems well-made, arrived on time. Not sure what else to say about a power cable.
Lenovo has apparently moved to all recyclable packaging, which is awesome. Even my Thinkpad's packaging included zero non-recyclable materials--I was able to put all of it in either my city collection bin or my grocery bag bin. Good job Lenovo.

I bought this a month ago and now use it exclusively, It's charges faster than the supplied adapter plus I like that it uses a standard 120V plug in cord. The original AC adapter has the 120V plug directly on the adapter and you may not have room or clearance in all situations.

Type C connection chargers are not really easy to find, and 65w even harder. This came quickly and works very well.
I wish it were smaller - for computer bag use - but I'm glad I am able to get one at all, since one charger is simply not enough for a travel laptop. I would hesitate to use a non-Lenovo device on my PC, given the warnings I've read about substandard components, which can harm or destroy a computer.
Overall, I'm very happy with Lenovo's rep who helped me with the purchase, with the item itself, and also the laptop I'll use it on!

Everyone should have an extra power supply in case you leave yours somewhere or regularly work somewhere. Lenovo power supplies last as long as the equipment does. Never has one go bad in over twenty years use of IBM/Lenovo power supplies. They are not available in stores or online from anyone other than Lenovo.

This charger is excellent at getting a good fast charge on your laptop and any other devices that charge using USB-C (I often charge my Android phone with this charger as well). However this is now the third charger I am as, when my laptop is plugged in and my cats knock it onto the floor, if it lands on the plug even a little bit then the metal piece of the plug bends out of alignment extremely easily and then can't make proper contact with the components in the rest of the cord and becomes useless. I went ahead and ordered two this time plus a third-party much cheaper charger for when this one inevitably gets slightly too much pressure put on it from an awkward fall and breaks again. This charger is $50 and is easily rendered useless by simple household mishaps. I've now spent over $200 on these chargers and once I break the last of these I'll just go to the third party ones which seem to be working fine.

It costs more than I expect it to and it took forever to get here, but it does charge my computer well. I wish the cord was a bit thicker so my cat wouldn't try to chew on it.

Perfect AC Power Adapter - USB C
This AC Power Adapter has is very reliable and will not overheat. Not bulky and the length of the cord is a plus when the a/c power is not close enough. Bought it as a backup to have it in my office.

A bit overpriced, and would love to find an overall slimmer design, but I purchased two and both work as advertised with good build quality. They charge my wife's x1 carbon, my Dell Latitude, my wife's pixel 2, my pixel 3, usb-c headphones, anything I've thrown at it so far has had no issues. Aukey, Anker, and some others are able to get equivalent voltage/amperage out of smaller form factors, wish Lenovo would follow suit or make their laptops more compatible with third party chargers, but it is what it is.

Good Adapter
We broke the original power adapter and bought a cheap one from Amazon. It doesn't work well. So I spent little extra on this OEM adapter. It works just like the original one. We are happy about with the purchase.

Get an extra for convenience
It's a power cord, an extra to make it more convenient to work away from my desk for extended periods, whether at work, home, or elsewhere. It supplies a good amount of juice and has an ample long cord. Nice and light, easy to carry. It is a power cord, after all!

For charger, buy original and you only buy once.
Had to replace my lost charger and made the mistake of buying cheap - so I had to replace a second time and got this original which seems very reliable and hopefully will last longer.

So Convenient!
I recently bought a Lenovo ThinkPad E580. I purchased an extra power adapter so I can leave one at my home and another at my office. This way, I don't have to package up my cord each night when I go home. This is so convenient! Because I run the cord under my desk at my office, it would be a real pain if I didn't have a second power adapter.

Great Quality Charger
This charger works great! I was tired of having to take the charger the laptop shipped with to and from work every day. But with this one, I can just leave it in my bag at all times, and I don't have to even touch the original charger. The cables feel quality, and the USB-C end has a good firm grip when plugged into the laptop.

A New Charge for a Used Laptop
Bought a used Lenovo ThinkPad off eBay that is in mint condition. When I got the charger with it, it wasn't. The USB-C cable was damaged and the charger housing had engravings on it. I could bought on off eBay or Amazon but I wanted something new and with a warranty. So I bought this one from Lenovo. Can't really say much. It's just a charger.

I would give it 5 stars if when ordering a new Thinkpad it wasn't suggested that I purchase this charger which implied that the Thinkpad didn't come with a charger. I could not find that information when ordering. All in all, it wasn't expensive and having an extra comes in very handy because I don't have to bring a charger to work and then home and then back to work. The battery lasts a really long time so you will forget to bring a charger when you need one. Having a spare is pretty handy. Though, I think having swappable batteries that can be charged off PC is better.
