The SMART1000RM1U SmartPro 120V 1kVA 800W Line-Interactive Sine Wave UPS provides battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, power surges and line noise that can damage electronics or destroy data. Ideal for backing up data centers, VoIP systems and network closets, the SMART1000RM1U switches to 1kVA/800W battery mode in milliseconds to keep your connected equipment running long enough to save files and shut down safely with no data loss.

Two of the six NEMA 5-15R outlets may be switched off remotely to reboot equipment or shed nonessential loads to maximize battery backup time for mission-critical equipment. The internal battery provides 14 minutes of support at half load (400W) and four minutes at full load (800W). Operating with a high 99% line mode efficiency, SMART1000RM1U saves you money and operating costs.

Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) maintains 120V nominal output over an input range of 83V to 147V without using battery power. EMI/RFI noise filtering improves your equipment's performance and prevents damage. A 450-joule surge suppression rating protects your equipment from harmful power surges. With Tripp Lite's PowerAlert software (available via free download), SMART1000RM1U enables safe unattended system shutdown and file saves in case of a prolonged power failure.

I would buy this product again.
I Use the Smarter 1KVA to protect the office computers of my business. It fits well in a narrow cabinet under my desk. The features are great, and after decades of using Tripplite products, I find I can depend on them. The customer service is excellent, efficient, and convenient.

Great service
I use to protect my Sonos System, and it been working very well. After the hurricane the batteries fail, I call and because I registered my product it was under the three year warranty, so Tripp-lite just send a replacement

We added of these to our VoIP phone system to create redundancy and could not be happier with the product. We will be expanding our use of these products and purchasing more for other sites to replace our aged units.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Low Profile Solid Unit!I had a HORRIBLE issue with unreliable, poorly conditioned power in my small audio voice over studio. I lost 3 mother boards in 18 months! This little baby did the trick. those little "brown outs" don't bother me at all now! Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small hickup, then works great.I actually have two of these in our rack solution. Although I had a little trouble getting one of them to be recognized by the software, tech support got me setup in short order. Since then, they have been working great. We lost electricity to the server room on one occasion for about 15 minutes and these kept my twin IBM x-series servers running happily until the power came back on. Never still had plenty of reserve, too. That's why I bought them. They fit the rack nice and are quiet, at least compared to all my servers. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid 1U UPSNo issues getting this unit up and running. Contains four HR9-6 (6v36WPC) Batteries. Also purchased the management card for the unit. The interface feels clunky to navigate compared to the competition. The card is also reporting the batteries are 5 years old. I have not figured out how to reset battery age yet. I think I only spent about 5 minutes poking around trying to figure it out, but It really shouldn't be that hard to figure out.
