Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good savings; slow delivery I've had marginal results with "off-brand" cartridges in my HP printer, and I keep returning to the original—despite the HORRIFYINGLY high price. I saved a little bit on this order because there was a discount on the second of and two cartrigges. So, instead of ordering my usual 96/97 combo, I ordered each one separately to qualify for the discount. Usually, HP shipping is really fast. This time, I waited four or five days (I can't remember which) for my order to arrive. That was disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn't work and tech folks were not helpful Purchased #96 black cartridge on line because none were available locally. In fact some stores had signs that they had to be ordered on line. I have used these cartridges for years without a problem but this one would not work at all. Called tech help and all they seemed interested in selling me an extended warranty and then they would talk to me about why the cartridge wouldn't work. I know a 7000 Series printer is an older model, but it has been working fine and doing everything I needed it to do. I have always purchased HP printers, but my next one may not be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cartridge My family has four HP printers, two of which I use in my office. HP inks work best in these printers, and with the 96, I have had no smearing, clotting, or problems of any kind. I would definitely recommend HP inks.

It produces clearly legible print which dys very rapidly so it doesn't smear. The cartridge also produces a very good number of printed pages. I like this ink cartridge, and also the HP 97 Color Ink Cartridege, because they are economical.

Tried all the help and user forums with no success. Considering its price it was cheaper to buy a new non-HP printer so at least I had a working machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love HP Toner I have used off brand toner that either runs out in 1/2 the time or doesn't work at all. If you set you print settings to Draft you can really get the 850 + pages out of one toner cartridge. Because it is HP Toner the quality on draft is still great.

Installed easily and the prints come out a lot darker than any re-manufactured cartridges which do not work well in my printer. Shipping was fairly quick and priced reasonably. The 2nd one worked. I hope when it runs out, the 3rd one works. Returned but there was no replacement available. And there hasn't been anywhere near me which sells it, which is why I bought direct. Very disappointing. I hope HP will be able to restock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The jury is still out. Although the printer told me the ink needed replacing, it would switch between the color and black cartridge indicators. I'm not sure the ink cartridge was the issue, but the shady help I got from support is making me think twice about HP for my technology of choice. But, this is about the cartridge, and it did solve my problem, so the jury is still out.

I purchased the HP Photosmart 2710 in 02/2005 and It has been over performing newer models. The original HP Inkjet Print Cartridge have never failed in delivering the exact performance as advertised, plus HP Customer Service and shipping are true professionals.

Unfortunately I cannot get a color ink cartridge-I attempted it once with HP but it did not work-the cartridge. I would love to have a color ink cartridge, but am content with being able to still get black ink.
