How to Harness AI and Generate ROI with IBM
Unified endpoint management (UEM) gives IT leaders thetechnology to manage and secure smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, wearables and Internet of Things (IoT) connected devices
Unified endpoint management (UEM) gives IT leaders thetechnology to manage and secure smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, wearables and Internet of Things (IoT) connected devices. With Watson , IBM MaaS360 delivers an AI approach to UEM to enable endpoints, end users andeverything in between apps, content and data.
MaaS360's approach to UEM offers cognitive insights, contextual analytics and cloud-sourced benchmarking capabilities for more-informeddecision-making. This allows IT to see what happened, what can happen, and whatcan be done while protecting all endpoints, applications, docs and their datafrom one platform. Here are some of the features you can find in this solution:
Support forlegacy systems: By supporting legacy systems such as Windows XP,Microsoft Vista and Microsoft Windows 7, MaaS360 offers an opportunity toreduce systems and costs. Integrated with IBM BigFix , a consistent leader inpatching and asset management, MaaS360 supports most commonly used OSs acrossall platforms.
Identity andaccess management: Identity and access management (IAM), including singlesign-on (SSO) to web and cloud apps, is fully integrated into MaaS360 as astandard offering and requires no additional hardware or software.
Protectagainst malware and malicious websites: MaaS360provides an all-in-one solution that allows you to detect, analyze andremediate enterprise malware on endpoints. It provides advanced jailbreak, rootand hider detection with over-the-air updates for security definitions.
Round-the-clocktechnical support: MaaS360 includes 24x7 support, staffed by subjectmatter experts, to all customers at no additional charge. Customer support isavailable via email, phone, web and chat.
How MaaS360can produce a 160% ROI for customers
In May 2019, IBM commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a Total Economic Impact (TEI) study to show the value that organizations could achieve by deploying MaaS360. Based on current IBM customers, Forrester created a composite organization with over 9,500 employees spread across six offices as well as remote workers. The composite organization has over 22,000 endpoints running on Apple, Android and Windows devices with many of its workers using both a laptop or desktop and a mobile phone.
Based on this composite customer, here were some ofForrester's key findings:
Maas360reduced the time needed to configure endpoints by 96%. With MaaS360'slow-touch, no-touch deployment capabilities, the composite organization nolonger had to manually provision and image endpoints individually. Theorganization could now ship endpoints to their final destination instead ofneeding to configure everything at its headquarters.
Maas360 reduced the time needed to set up end usersby 47%. IT administrators no longer had to deal with department-specificconfigurations and could instead focus on answering end user questions, goingover the capabilities of the user's new device and educating new hires oncorporate policies.
Decreasedtime spent on auditing by 58% and updating devices by 50%. With MaaS360,the ability to manage and secure devices became far more simplified. ITadministrators now had full visibility into their security posture acrossendpoints and operating systems in one centralized console. MaaS360 enabled theIT organization to apply patches and updates quickly and easily, regardless ofwhether a device was on the enterprise network.
Reduced thenumber of tickets received by 50% and reduced remediation time by 50%. SSO,a self-service portal and an AI assistant all reduce the number of tickets endusers submit. In addition, the added visibility and control provided by MaaS360enabled IT administrators to resolve tickets faster by giving them improvedvisibility and control into endpoints.
80% reductionin cyber security incidents. Management features like SSO and MFA,container apps for strong data leak prevention and MaaS360's applicationsecurity features allowed the organization to improve its security postureacross all endpoints. IBM MaaS360's mobile threat defence combined withAI-powered insights and analytics enabled the organization to detect, analyzeand remediate malware threats faster than before. This resulted in a three-year, risk-adjusted PV savings of over $2.2million.
Two and ahalf minutes saved per end user per day. With Maas360, end users couldaccess important files and applications across more devices and in more locations, increasing their productivity outside of the office. To learn more about IBM products and solutions, visit CDW.ca/IBM
