Dynamic security enabled printer
Certain HP printers are intended to work only with cartridges that have a new or reused HP chip or electronic circuitry. These printers use dynamic security measures to block cartridges using a non-HP chip or electronic circuitry. Periodic firmware updates will maintain the effectiveness of these measures and block cartridges that previously worked. Reused HP chips and electronic circuitry enable the use of reused, remanufactured, and refilled cartridges.

Less than desired
This is very difficult unit to set up and keep settings. Took several calls to HP and long hours with our IT consultant. The scanner keep losing the pathway to my computer. Colro printing is too dark. have tried to adjust settings but still to dark.

This is not the Way
- Mechkit-politics are horrible. Little errors are an economical total loss since repairs are so time consuming.
- Printquality is not good, but since its an inkjet its adequate.
- Scanquality is again worse than in previous HP MFPs. Hard to explain the customer why the new models are more expensive but the quality is dropping (coming from HP3530 good scanner and HP575/585 ok scanner) unexplainable... its 2021 and people prefer making photos with their smartphone over using the MFP!?

We are extremely disappointed with this printer.
This product is touted as an "enterprise printer." Therefore, we expected easy and seemless wifi connection along with reliable performance. We got neither. The wifi connectivity is HP homebrew (it's also an add-on that costs addition $$), meaning that you cannot simply wifi connect as you would with printer that costs 1/10th as much. To connect, you must tap into HP's own wifi solution. Ridiculous and impractical. The printer often reboots itself; worse, it can take as much as five minutes to reboot! On the positive side, printing is fast, but that benefit does not outweigh all of the negatives, not to mention and extremely high price. Very disappointed with this product and with HP for offering such a flawed product.

Throughly dissappointed
Print quality is absolutely terrible even with adjusted settings. User interface not user friendly. For the price, not worth it. $50 printers do a better job.

Big Display and simple layout. User Friendly
This is a really quiet printer (relative to our Lexmark that died in 8 months with no refund). It is fast and the ink, cost per page is VERY affordable. Highly recommend this for any size office.

A printer repair tech's worst nightmare
I am a printer repair technician, I have seen many printers from many different manufactureres over the years and this one is one of the worst.
If something goes absolutely wrong inside this printer, it is almost impossible to repair it.
The main mechanism that does almost all of the work is riveted together and impossible to get inside to repair major issues.
One of our employees made the mistake of trying to print sticker labels on this printer.
To be fair to HP, the users shouldn't have attempted to print labels.
Now the print quality is soo bad that the internal cleaning routines will not fix it so it requires me to open it up.
I opened up the left door and found some scraps of the label stickers in the door.
Removed the scraps and tested again, still terrible print out.
I opened it up a bit farther and I can see scraps of stickers inside the main print engine.
With any other printer this wouldn't be that big of a deal, I'd just take it apart even more and remove the junk. Not with this printer.
The brilliant people who engineered this one, riveted the entire print engine together so there is NO getting inside the machine to perform what would otherwise be an easy fix.
So the only route we have to get this fixed is to basically buy the whole print engine, and the cost of that is pretty much the price of a new one so it would be a waste of time and money to even attempt to repair this.
This design philosophy of making products that the end user can not fix, even if they are very technically skilled, is a SAD trend that I really do hope ends with Right to Repair laws.
Would not recommend anyone buying this model.

Great Printer
Although I can't figure out how to scan, I really like our new printer. I haven't had a lot of chance to research scanning. For the price we paid I would think it's a no brainer.

So good had to order another one
So good had to order another one. Our office has had one for about 2 years now and hasn't given a single issue (besides someone jamming a folder), so we decided to buy another once the office expansion was completed.
