The standby ECO850LCD UPS system provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, surges and line noise that can damage valuable electronics or destroy data. The 12-outlet 120V battery backup is ideal protection for your home office, media center or professional kiosk, security and small-business phone applications, including computers, routers, printers, HDTVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, ATMs, security systems and digital signage equipment.
Backup support allows you to work through short power failures and gives you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Backup time varies according to load, but the ECO850LCD should keep an energy-efficient desktop computer with small LCD monitor powered as long as 38 minutes. During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the replaceable internal battery fully charged, so backup power will always be available.
Six 5-15R outlets provide battery backup and surge protection for your computer, monitor and other crucial components. The other six 5-15R outlets provide surge suppression only for printers, speakers and other desktop equipment regarded as non-essential during a blackout.
By meeting strict EPA efficiency guidelines, this ENERGY STAR-certified UPS system helps you save money and energy. An ECO power-saving option features four switched ECO outlets (three surge-only, one surge- and battery-protected) that turn off automatically when the device connected to the Battery Backup Master Outlet is powered down or in sleep mode. These outlets are recommended for printers, desk lamps and other non-essential peripherals that don't need to be operational all the time.
A 316-joule surge suppression rating protects connected components from the harmful effects of power surges. Dual network data line jacks protect a wired peripheral from dangerous surges on a single 10/100Base-T or dial-up network connection.
This USB port connects the ECO850LCD to a computer running Tripp Lite's free downloadable PowerAlert software to enable safe unattended file saves and system shutdown in case of a prolonged power failure. USB cable is included. Battery independent restart ensures automatic UPS power-up without user interaction after lengthy power outages, even when batteries are expired and require replacement.
Various electromagnetic and radio sources found in virtually every home and business can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. Known as EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio frequency interference), this line noise is a common cause of performance problems and can lead to incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video transmission problems. The ECO850LCD incorporates technology that filters out disruptive line noise so that it won't affect your equipment.
The UPS remains silent in both line and battery backup modes. The alarm sounds only to report low battery, excessive load and fault condition. The LCD touchscreen offers five screens of UPS and site power information when the UPS is operating in either on-line or battery power mode. It displays vital voltage, load and battery data, as well as critical fault status.
The space-saving ABS housing fits on a desktop, shelf or anywhere else convenient to your workstation or home theater.

Rated 5 out of 5 byCT Morgan from I would buy this product again.I purchased two of these, replacing two aging APCs. I like the information available through the display, since one of these is not connected to a computer. We've had one power outage since I bought the units and both worked flawlessly. My only complaint is minor. I run Linux Mint on my computer but could not find monitoring software for the UPS. No big deal since the on-device display provides all the information needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 byAM from Efficient and Powerful. Good featuresUsed to manage multiple routers, Mac Mini Server, external hard drives. Works great. Keeps everything powered up. No trip when there is a power dip, so hard drives are happy. Will keep server on for several hours if sleep mode programmed.

Rated 5 out of 5 byDon't Have One from The Battery life is not long enoughI own a small business with 1 server and 3 PC's... Prevent our system from shutting down improperly during a hiccup in the power. And to give the PC enough time to shut down properly during an actual power outage.

Rated 5 out of 5 byrickcee from Worth every penny +I'm in an area that has had many serious brownouts and momentary outages, enough to reboot electronic devices. I believe the brownouts "fried" my hard drive because it wasn't enough to cue a shutdown. Had to replace it twice. More recently, in thunderstorms, my satellite receiver rebooted many times (it can take a minute or more to reboot), so I plugged that into the UPS. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 bySpotSpeaker from QuirkyWhen I had 'eco' on, and my laser printer would start, everything plugged into the eco outlets would lose power for about 8 seconds (I'm assuming this is a current spike from the printer starting, and the eco shutdown is a preventative measure). But yesterday morning, after a night of inactivity, the eco outlets would not pass power until I turned off eco. Still appreciate the number of outlets and the other options, and liked the eco feature until yesterday morning.

Rated 5 out of 5 byRV Rich from Can't be withoutWhen I sold my house in Tucson I had four eco series units and they never failed to protect my electronics. When I bought our condo in Colorado Springs my purchase of new eco units were at the top of my list. When you spend so much for your tv's, computers etc. the price of protection is minuscule! I cound not do without Tripp lite products, neither should you.
