This complete transmitter and dual-receiver system is recommended for video presentations in conference rooms, schools, trade shows, meeting facilities, houses of worship, retail settings, hotels and other digital signage applications where the source and display are farther apart than conventional A/V cables allow. The B127U-002-PDPD2 extends 4K signals from a DisplayPort source to two DisplayPort monitors up to 230 feet (70.1 meters) away via user-supplied Cat6 cabling. The one-foot pigtail design of the transmitter/splitter and receivers makes the units easy to install, especially in tight spaces.
The B127U-002-PDPD2 supports Ultra HD resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 60 Hz with uncompressed DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD and 7.1-channel digital audio. High Dynamic Range (HDR) provides a wide range of vibrant colors with richer contrast, brighter whites and deeper blacks that pop on your 4K display. HDCP 2.2 compliance allows you to stream 4K content with no complications. This extender kit also supports 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for top-level PC gaming or using your HDTV as a PC monitor.
The B127U-002-PDPD2 includes two receivers but is also compatible with HDMI (B127U-110-PH) and DisplayPort (B127U-110-PD) receivers (sold separately) in a four-link daisy-chain installation. The dual-output transmitter allows you to create two separate daisy-chains with a total of eight receivers. Each additional receiver adds up to 230 feet (70.1 meters) to the maximum video transmission distance and up to a total of 920 feet (280 meters) for the entire installation.
Say you have a brand new 4K/60 Hz HDTV in the living room but want to also connect your Blu-ray player or media server to the older 1080p TV in the kitchen and the 4K/30 Hz monitor in your home office. The B127U-002-PDPD2 is backward compatible with 4K/30 Hz and 1080p resolutions via automatic switching, allowing each connected television to display video at its maximum resolution without affecting the other outputs.
The included transmitter and receiver units work right out of the box with no software required. All feature a one-foot USB-A pigtail connector as the primary power source. Plug the USB connector on the transmitter into a USB-A power adapter (such as U280-W01-QC3-1, sold separately), and plug the receivers into the displays - USB-A ports. User-supplied 24 AWG Cat6 cabling connects the transmitter and receivers.
The B127U-002-PDPD2 is compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA), which makes it eligible for GSA (General Services Administration) Schedule and other federal procurement contracts.
