Solved My Glitchy Graphics Problem!
I used similar models from StarTech (USB2VGAE2, USB2VGAE3, and USB2DVIE2, USB2DVIE3) and all of them would glitch out when I would use certain programs like Citrix Receiver making graphics jump all over the screen. THIS ONE FIXED IT! It uses an entirely different program/driver set than the others (Out with Trigger and in with DisplayLink). I don't know if the USB 3.0 helped either, but I have it plugged into a 3.0 port. I have the cards mentioned above installed at other workstations and they work fine, but for my Lenovo laptop it was bad. Just saying the others DO work, but I'm so glad this one works for my laptop as I've heard others have similar experiences.
It says plug and play display on the sticker of the unit BUT it wasn't so in my case. I uninstalled Trigger driver from the past StarTech video adapters, restarted, tried again, still didn't work, downloaded most up to date drivers for Display Link for a Win 7 x64 computer, restarted, worked perfectly!
Something else to note: the past StarTech adapters I used would make the screen look a bit more dim or fuzzy than the regular one plugged in with a DVI or VGA cable directly to the laptop. With the USB2DVIPRO2 it's insanely sharp and clear! Yeah, resolution difference, but I have both monitors set at 1600 x 900 and it kicks butt compared to the last one!
