Rated 5 out of 5 byNick423 from Fast and solidWhat can one say about a drive enclosure? It's metal, and solid, but I had to add a dab of silicone to keep the drive firmly in place and prevent rattling. The drive did not come off the connector inside, no matter how much a shook or bumped it, but since I'm using a spindle drive (after the bump testing...), the silicone helps make the whole assembly less worrisome.I would have liked to have seen a USB-C cable included as well as the standard format. But I bought one locally, and now can go between computers more easily. A longer cable would make this more IT-pro/datacenter friendly. Just saying.... Last note on the physical case... Being without any raised edges and all metal presents an opportunity and a challenge. The opportunity is that the smooth surface allowed me to add a Velcro strip (I do this to externals like this, along with my laptops, servers, and desk), so I can attach the drive and not worry about it getting bumped, sliding around, and even temporarily "part" of a laptop. Some enclosures make this more difficult with fancy shapes and raised details. On the challenge front, without securing the drive, the smooth metal slides all over the place. If using a spindle drive, be careful.Performance-wise, this thing maxes out the drive's capability on reads and writes. The enclosure is no longer the limiting factor. There are no noted compatibility issues when using the enclosure with MacOS, Windows, Linux, or a Chromebook. It just works, and read/write speeds are limited only by the drive, and the computer it's connected to. :) I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Rated 5 out of 5 byAndrew11 from Perfect for SSD upgrades! This adapter was perfect for my latest SSD upgrade; after removing the old drive I was able to keep using it as external storage. The kit has everything you need to mount the drive inside, the enclosure is solid, very thin, and looks great. It even comes with a soft pouch to protect the finish. The USB cable is long enough to be useful but not so long as to get in the way. I tuck the cable and the enclosure into the pouch when travelling to keep them together. Works great!I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review

Rated 5 out of 5 byLuis123 from Great for SSD.Got this enclosure and set it up with my 128 GB SSD and does what it was made for. I did test it with a regular drive and it can vibrate a little which is not a good thing, so, for SSD it is great and I was able to move from one system to another with a minimal install time. Good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 bydemian from poor important featuresyes it may have all the bells and whistles like usb 3.1 10gbps and uasp but no TRIM support. this case with the 10 gbps usb it's meant obviously for ssd not hdd , and the most important function of ssd is not supported. there for , until there is a firmware update , this is my overall rating of this enclosure.

Rated 5 out of 5 byMacphoto from Nice fast and solidly builtIf you are looking for a simple and fast enclosure then this is a really good piece. I found the installation of my SSD into this fast and easy and I am getting excellent transfer speeds. There is a spacer included for thinner drives which I did not need. The cable connection is solid. I do worry that over time plugging and unplugging may break this connection. I would like to see a slightly longer cord but that is me. I hate short cords. My only complaint about the enclosure itself if that I would think a conventional hard drive would not sustain much bumping or movement in this enclosure. Overall a very fast enclosure I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.
