This 3.5in SATA hard drive hot-swap bay allows you to install a 3.5in SATA drive in an available/unused 5.25in drive bay. To remove the drive, it's as simple as opening the front panel door; to re-insert a drive, simply insert the drive (connector first) until the door closes.
The hot swap bay offers a trayless design that makes it the ideal solution for quick and easy drive removals and insertions as part of a system building process, or integration into rackmount systems or industrial environments.
To maximize performance and utilize the full speed potential of your SATA III hard drives, this HDD Backplane supports SATA III for transfer speeds up to 6 Gbps when paired with compatible controller.

I have it installed in an older HP 6000 Pro Core 2 Duo, E7600, however I can not determine where to connect the Tray lite. Unfortunately, the bezel lite on the case is module that does not match the tray cable.

Easy to install and use, I have built computers and RAID for a few years now and I have 2 of these and plan on getting more. I am a electrical contractor and I do not give high praise alot but I do on this one. If you have any trouble with this I would say check other components first. I use a lot of startech products and I have No problem with any.

Rated 5 out of 5 byLimey from Can't be beat!Just installed and using it in minutes.It's standard StarTech construction, which is better than most generic equipment but down a grade from a factory HP or Dell item.Only beef is that the insertion rating is listed at 50,000 on the website but only 10,000 in the manual. At one insertion per week that's a difference of 700 years, I'm not happy!
