It's ink and does what ink is expected to do. While you can buy off-brand ink cartridges It is better to get the genuine HP ink cartridges to ensure compatibility with your HP printer. Besides, the off-brand ink cartridges tend to be recycled HP cartridges.

When they explode in my hands, clothes or on the floor, it more than ruins my day. Cannot possibly give this a 5 star simply because opening them is like waiting for a bomb to explode. They are expensive enough without the cleaning bill. Just when I think it's safe, it happens again. Sorry, no photo. When this happens, it's just not in me to grab a camera. Please note, I will be recommending this product below simply because there is no other choice.

Black ink cartridges are defective
I purchased the HP 6830 a little less than 1 year ago. 5 months after buying it I put another new 934 XL black cartridge in. I immediately had printing problems. Talked to the tech support at store where I bought the printer and cartridges and HP support. They tried to tell me it was print head problem or that I should not use a surge protector or UPS. After wasting my time with them I just went ahead and bought another black ink cartridge and the printer worked fine for the next several months then about two weeks ago I put in another replacement 934XL black cartridge and now I can't print in black any more. Color prints OK and the ink level meter shows the black cartridge as well as the color cartridges as almost full. So buying a $75 multipack of cartridges for the HP 6830 printer is a gamble at best.

What is there to say. It is super easy to order what I need. No rushing from store to store. Simply go to my favorites to select the HP store. Put in what I want and up come my choices. Pick out what I need and send through the order.
It took about a week from the order to arrive which during the pandemic I figure is about what I would expect.
I have always used only HP cartridges for my HP printers and have been very happy with them. I bought the large capacity black cartridges which are supposed to print approximately 1,000 pages. I bought two and I know they did that as I went through about four reams of paper. As I print on both sides, this would be almost 4,000 pages or two times what it is rated for.

I have a HP OfficeJet printer that I purchased many years ago. Since it is quite old it is much harder to get the authentic ink cartridges that it needs. Simple, they always have my product, if I order when the printer says low it will be here in 2 days & always FREE! plus, usually coupons on site. I hate buying ink, I hate housing those boxes and I don’t like all that money sitting on a shelf. So, can’t beat HP a shopping!

Bought 2 of these from here, installed one and tried printing 3 pages, all came out BLANK !
Pulled cartridge to check contacts and for obstructions, none seen and reinstalled cartridge. Tried printing again and got message "USED cartridge, buy new one". WHAT ???

Horrible
For some reason the black ink kept clogging up my printer. The colored ink worked well, but the black just made a mess and I had to keep cleaning the heads in my printer. I don't know what's wrong with this black ink but it doesn't work well.

I need ink, bought it, installed it, then my hp printer started flashing giving error messages and asking to be shut down. Says made in China on the cartrige. Cost a lot to replace too. And inconvenience if it all.

The product was bad.
The cartridge didn't work at first. I had to reinstall it several times to make it work. After about two weeks it stopped working. It probably went from 80% capacity to zero in one day and stopped working. I would love to get a refund or an exchange but have no idea how to do that.

Purchased this in Feb installed it in the printer, printer two black papers and got an error message on my screen "Problem with printhead" Cleaned it manually, called tech support and was referred to just answer, No avail here either, ended up purchasing a new printer. Alas I am returned cartridges that are new, and th e new printer takes a different cartridge.Quite a expense for a fixed income

I always keep a back-up ink available as I never know when I will have a large print job and I would hate to get to the end of the current cartridge in the printer and be unable to finish the job. That was why I purchased this item.

The cartridges work great!
We do not do much printing and despite being being idle the HP cartridges do not “clog” and work great every time. We have never had any smudges or misprints until we are running real low on ink.

I just bought this cartridge a couple weeks ago and haven't installed it yet. I've only had a problem once with a HP cartridge. Have never used other than HP in my printer. For some reason, it did not read it as a full cartridge and kept saying I had to install a new one.

I use to buy all my HP ink at Walmart, but no more. HP prices are so much better and the date codes are at least a year ahead before they expire. Shipping is really quick usually the next day if not ordered on a weekend. HP is definitely my go to store.

Did not work properly
This cartridge does not work properly with my HPOfficejet Pro 6835. I thought at first I just received a bad cartridge. Then HP was kind enough to replace it - no charge. But the second one had the same problem. It prints okay for a fe copies then stops printing completely. I replaced it with the non XL and it works just fine.

It said 3-7 days. I finally got it. Then I was having problems with it. i reported this and I am not going to continue reporting this. I am very disappointed in the delivery and the product. Just keep my $34. I will know to never order from your company again.

Nothing but Problems
This is the second HP cartridge I've had nothing but problems with (the first was cyan, purchase at OfficeDepot. This one was purchased directly from HP). It is like it doesn't seat properly and comes loose at random times, like during the night. When I print, either this color doesn't print or prints extremely light. Cleaning the printer DOES NOT help. Reinstalling the cartridge does help, but it takes a few pages of wasted paper for it to "kick in" and print correctly. Very disappointed, certainly you can do better than this.

I bought refills for my HP all in one printer. I have never purchased the XL size in the colored ink. After replacing the cartridges, every time I tried to print the "printerhead clogged". I would go thru the unclogging process, but the printer sometimes worked and some times not. I gave up ditched the printer and bought a new one. $100 down the drain on new ink cartridges.

Caused Printhead Problems
Bought this to replace the old cartridge, problems with printhead ensued. It’s never the same problem, and long story short, I haven’t been able to print a page yet. The old cartridge worked perfectly fine and I never had a problem. Add the inability to track the cartridge on its way to my house, and it was just a pretty bad experience. At least my ink level is full! It’ll be that way until I toss the whole thing in the trash and buy a new printer, preferably not HP.
