Ink did not flow from this cartridge despite many attempts to tap it loose or "clean printer heads" as described on you-tube as well as direct HP instructions. It was also frustrating that I could not print my own return label precisely because I had no black ink to do it with.

I had to purchase a new cartridge because the old one I got from Costco just never worked quite right. It was OK at first, for infrequent printing at my home, but then over the last year or more it just got worse and worse and now print-outs are mostly useless. No cleaning or alignment is fixing it. So it's frustrating throwing $$$ down the drain.

I experienced some sticker shock when I learned my replacement cartridges were north of $100 for the pair. I will reserve final judgment on them until I compare their performance and capacity with the anemic cartridges supplied with the unit.
Based on many, many reviews I’ve seen, I shouldn’t overinflate my expectations.

When I used up the cartridge that came with the printer, the retailer did not have the 3x cartridge that I wanted so I was stuck purchasing another regular cartridge which did not seem to last very long. Perhaps it was sitting on the retailer's shelf too long? Anyway, instead of purchasing another cartridge from the same store I decided to purchase directly from HP. This was a much better idea and will do so from now on. It seems as the ink did NOT print well from my second regular sized cartridge. Parts of letters and numbers were missing, etc. The new 3X cartridge is fresher ink.
I have purchased directly from HP beforehand it was always a wise choice. Thank you for contacting me!!!

Returned the printer to HP before I had significant use of the ink. For the few pages that it printed, the clarity and precision of the print was very good. However, the printer was so totally useless that I sent it back to HP.

I bought this cartridge in December and tried to use it today (Feb 18). An error message saying that there is a communication error with the cartridge. When I put in an old cartridge it works fine. But this cartridge doesn't work at all, and since I purchased it more than 30 days ago, I cannot return it. A wasted $46!!!!! I'm very disappointed after being a dedicated HP customer for 30+ years.

I bought the XL ink cartridge. I have not even printed 100 pages yet, and the printer already told me that the cartridge is low!! WHAT??? This cartridge is supposed to give me 600 pages!! I have less than 100 pages printed with just simple text. I don't understand what is going on. I'm not sure if I received something else, other than the XL one; but there is definitely something wrong with this product. HP can track when I bought it. I'm pretty sure HP is monitoring everything I'm doing with my printer and you can see how much printing I did!! There is no way that this cartridge came near 600 pages!! Extremely disappointed and frustrated, as I had to shut down my work due to this cartridge issue right now!!! I'd like answers, please. AND... What a horrible website! Can't even find anyone to email a question or concern!

So much problem to deal with - printer and ink!
Just installed newly purchased ink cartridge. First, the printer seems to be taking too long to "read" the new ink. Then I get an error message that ink is not properly installed so I go back and re-do everything. Printer gives out error that it cannot read it - I re-install after turning off printer and turning it back on after a minute. So now printer reads it. I print a test page...all seems ok. Then I print a page and it prints very light - so I checked all the adjustments etc. then printed my page again. This time the print out has some dark portions and light portions. What the heck? My printer is also new so I cannot fault it. Why am I having so much problem with this? I should have read all the reviews before I bought this printer!

I bought a 64xl cartridge when my original std size ran out and found it to be fine. It fit properly and installed easily. The ink quality was great like all other HP inks I've used.
I do some but not a lot of printing and expected the cartridge to last several months. To my surprise the cartridge only lasted about half the duration that I expected.
I've just purchased a new one and installed it. I'll be watching the duration of use much closer this time to make sure I made no errors in its usage.
If anyone else has experienced this issue, please respond.

I purchased this ink for my HP envy all in one printer and the ink is not loading up properly. It maybe because I am enrolled in the HP instant ink and it does not recognize the ink. It should be a problem because it is a HP cartridge.

I had a great 10 year old HP printer. Worked great, reasonably priced ink. But they stopped making the ink cartridges. Bought a new HP printer, and found out that an ink cartridge holds about 2 drops of ink, and costs nearly as much as a 2019 BMW M8 Coupe.

I ALWAYS buy HP printers because they work well and rarely break down My only frustration with them is when I need to buy a new one, I can't ever find a printer that uses the SAME ink cartridges. And because I try to keep a good supply of ink on-hand, that means I either have to return ink to the store, or try to sell it on-line, or (most often) I end up giving it away. And ink is expensive!

Not much ink in the xl cartridges very expensive.
I recently Purchased an HP ENVY printer. the cartridges that came with it lasted less than 100 pages, so I just bought the 64 XL cartridges, thinking they would last longer. They have printed more than the regular cartridges, but still fall way short of expectation. I have printed about 360 pages in black and white and the black is about 3/4 depleated. I will have to replace it soon. These cartridges are too expensive for the amount of pages I can print. I realize that the amount of ink a cartridge will hold is finite, but then the price should reflect that. I got a very good price on the printer and now I know why. hP can give them away and make a Hugh profit on cartridges!

When I installed it, it did not work. The printer told me to install a new one. Assuming I put it in wrong, I re-installed it several times to no avail. Finally I took a close look at it. There was something black already on the area where ink should come out. I washed it clean with rubbing alcohol and then it worked perfectly. All I did was remove the tape and install it originally. Why was there "dirt" or ink on it? Was it a used cartridge? Did someone not clean it properly? Makes me hesitant to order another one.

I've tried a number of times to install the new HP black 64 XL ink cartridge I received, but always get an error message. The old standard 64 goes back in with no error message. Tried using HP support, going through all steps suggested, but no luck. First time ordering from HP, so I'm rather disappointed and not impressed at this point. Have not had any problems with HP cartridges that I've purchased from other places. I'm not looking to "bash" HP; I'd just appreciate some help with an item I purchased that is not working.

I set up the new printer and loaded the extra size ink cartridge. Printer set up process didn’t like the cartridge and I had to put in the ink cartridge that came with the printer to complete the set up process.

I bought this 3 weeks ago and want to install into HP ENVY PHOTO 7855 but it would not accept it. Error message keeps telling me to remove & reinstalled again. BUY: 64XL black ink cartridge. HP ENVY PHOTO 7855 USE 64 regular. When I look up on HP site it says the 64 XL give you double the print and it will fit all HP ENVY PHOTO series. Well, it does not and its damM frustrating that I pay for the XL64 for more printing, well HP takes more of my money instead of given me more printings.

Wal-Mart was out of stock, I think I got it at office depot. Worked fine for 20 or so copies then started giving low ink warning. After fiddling that stopped. But recently did run dry, well under 2 teams of paper, under 400 copies and not densely packed copy either.

I have been using HP printers and cartridges for some time - the ink cartridges are excellent quality. I have an HP EnvyPhoto 7855 and like it better all the time - recently learned how to FAX with it and how to enlarge my scans.

Envy Photo 7155 & 64XL ink
64XL ink doesn't seem to go as far as my old 564XL and is much more expensive. Wish I had my old printer back. Easier features for adjusting ink quality. I also received a 60 tri color ink (CC643W) in one of my 64XL boxes which I have no use for.

I ordered one XL64 black ink cartridge. I received it right days after I ordered it with 2-4 day shipping. The cartridge was hardly any different from a regular cartridge. This ink only gives me 110 pgs. I have had nothing but problems with the HP Envy 4 in 1 Printer I bought......I feel taken advantage of, and I'm angry about that in this time of Covid-19.

Printer ink didn’t work
I’m back two packages of printer ink That were the exact same as what I had previously. Neither one of them worked as I received a printer error. I try to use the chat function. It was absolutely no help at all. I decided to return it however they sent me a Shipping label that I cannot print. Because my printer ink doesn’t work. This is just a comedy of errors and a waste of my money and time.

It prints very nicely. However, immediately upon opening the box the brackets that hold the top on the printer snapped off and are not able to be connected.
So for the rest of its life I will have to remove the cover and reattach it every time I want to scan or copy. This does not affect the printing.

HP is an excellent brand which I have developed loyalty to. The page amount they advertise isnt even close to what you get for the extra large ink. Had a 10 wk class and printed six 3-6pg, papers five 4 pg packets all of which were black and white words. I had to replace the ink before the 10 weeks ended. I hatr false advertisements and thats just 1 example. Make the inks last longer HP.

My HP printer has worked fine until I purchased the 64XL cartridge. After printing 2 0r 3 pages, an error message demands that the cartridge be totally removed and then reinstalled. This works for a few more copies but then sends same error message. What a royal pain. Where is your quality control HP?

Gosh, I bought some ink for my printer, it was intense, I mean... you know I pushed print and the printed did something cray cray, it literally printed, I was shocked. Most ink cartridges just well... the supply the printer with ink to print. But this print cartridge I got recently, I printed the **** out of some paper, I was on a roll. Man just a ton of letters and numbers appeared on the page, it was shocking how printed things were with that ink, you’d never believe me If I hadn’t left this review about it

This is an ideal product for me since I don't do a whole lot of printing (maybe 10-12 pages a month) and always in black and white. one cartridge lasts me a very long time. Only complaint is the price, of course, but it's comparable to other sources and Walmart/Target always seem to be out of it when I need it most. HP is never out and shipping is fast!

The ink cassettes should contain some sort of device that indicates the amount of ink remaining or the number of additional pages which can be printed.
For new users, it's difficult to tell whether the printer is out of ink or malfunctioning.

I ordered the exact type of ink for my HP printer right from HP. I correctly installed it but got an incompatible message. I tried to reinstall multiple times but kept getting the same error message thus making my printer unusable. This ink was $40. I have now ordered another cartridge from another vendor and will be returning the defective cartridge to HP.

After a myriad of error messages telling me to reseat my ink cartridges, I finally decided to address the real problem and ditch the offending HP Printer (all-in-one), which had cost me a pretty penny and was only about a year old. I had been a loyal HP user for decades; however, Years of declining product quality and equally frustrating support have caused me to end my use (purchase) of any and future HP products. I conducted a poll, amongst my friends and business associates as to what brands I should purchase in the future and NOT ONE OF THEM recommended HP.

My previous HP Photo Smart developed print head problems so I replaced it with the HP Envoy 7155. It does all of my necessary functions as I no longer need to fax items. While I have had it for only 2 weeks, I am beginning to expect it is going to be expensive because of the ink usage. One other criticism I have is that the function window is too small for my hand touch. But it prints well and is quick which I love.

This 64XL cartridge must have had even less ink in it then the regular 64 cartridge because we realized that that it was out of ink much quicker, which showed up on the last two pages of a many page document we were printing. We have had this happen also with the Color 64XL.

Faulty cartridge
I tried to call after unsuccessfully “chatting” with robo-customer svc: I inserted HP64XL replacement cartridge and it was indicated as faulty so I had to insert another cartridge which did work. A very expensive waste and no way to get a replacement.

Even though we only print partially filled text pages, the ink doesn't last very long. We won't switch to automatic ink from HP because it totally wrecked out last two HP printers in less than 3 months!!!!

HP Tango X can't have HP replacement cartridges pu
As with color cartridge, I intalled black and white one. It moves correctly, when I hit "print" the HP Tango X says it is printing but it's never printing anything. You apparently made a printer that cannot now have standard HP cartridges put in. A total rip off. I have to buy another printer not but not a HP

I am an amateur watercolorist. I use a printer to make cards and prints from my original paintings to sell. I never get as many prints as the ink cartridge is suppose to print, and it tends to make everything too blue. I can't get a halfway descent print unless I use the "best" quality on my printer. And the ink is way too expensive!

i only bought this because my printer says my previous HP cartridge was defective. Spent money on this cartridge, still doesn't work. Printer is screwed up....no one will assist me. This printer is less than a year old and I haven't been able to use it in over a month.

When I attempted to install my new cartridges my printer kept asking to install correctly. I attempted a number of times to no avail.Perhaps my printer is,at fault. It was printing before I installed the new cartridges. I don't know the reason. I even downloaded the printer doctor which wrongly stated the cartridges were not installed correctly. My wife also attempted to install the cartridges. We both heard the click.Same when I attempted.We gave up.

So...... it all works
I have a small HP Envy Photo 7858 printer that I use on the road where space is a thing. the machine is a multi function machine. I needed ink for it and I saw that the HP store had a deal on it. I went ahead and ordered a couple of cartridges. they came very quickly to a small town in a remote part of CA. they work very well. No issues, no alibis. I'm pleased. All of this at a better price than Walmart or any of the variety stores.

Print his bad when there's still ink (according to ink levels) left in the cartridge in the printer. I had to replace it and I feel like I'm getting gipped out of ink, which is expensive.The colored cartridge still works, and it has the same amount of ink left

1st time I've ever had as problem.
I bought 2 new cartridges last month, but just recently installed the Black ink cartridge. It doesn't work!! I keep getting a message to reinstall the cartridge. I've done that several times, and still get the same message. I put my old black cartridge back in and it printed normally, just very light on the ink. What should I do? I need to print some time sheets for my husband, but am going to have to buy another cartridge. I've had HP printers for over 20 years, and this is the lst time I've ever had a problem with a cartridge.

I have used only HP inks in my HP printers.
While they cost a little more than other brands, HP inks have consistently provided excellent print results. I have tried a couple of other brands and found them to provide poorer print quality and one even leaked inside my printer making a mess to clean up.

Didn’t last very long. Must be old ink! I am a teacher that makes very colorful copies. I thought this product would allow me to make up to 600. It was more like 25-30 and started running as a brownish nasty color instead of black. Eventually it didn’t even print anything on the page.

The last several ink cartridges I have bought did not last long at all. The last cartridge I bought from Wall Mart would not work in my printer. They would not take it back because it was opened. How do you know that it is defective unless you open it so I had to buy another one.

My HP Printer gives an error message if I use authentic HP Ink bought from another source other than HP and usually refuses to print. So I ordered HP Black along with a color cartridge and the Black came several days after the color delaying my project! Not what I expect from HP.

Cartridges Are Fine But Expensive
First I bought your HP ENVY PHOTO 7858 and came close to sending it back as it was so difficult to just put a page on the glass and press the copy icon to make it copy print without multiple finger clickings to produce a copy and that continues to be an irritant.
The cartridges are expensive but are just fine except they don't tell me when they are getting low on ink until they are empty.

These cartridges are always getting clogged after just a couple of uses. Printer head cleaning utility is useless. Just end up buying a new, very expensive, cartridge. I guess that’s why the printers are so cheap to begin with.

I ordered 64XL, both color and black. I received the color in ample time, but not the black nor an explanation. I went to an Office Depot and purchased a black. The 64XL eventually arrived as I knew it eventually would. However, in the future, I will remain loving your product, but I'll go purchase it at the store.

The other plus is that the product comes with a return package to recycle the old ink cartridges!!! That is also a definite plus and a reason for reordering this way!

The cartridges are great but I don’t like the HP printer because I have to replace the costly cartridges so often. Prior HO printer quit working so replaced it with spare wife bought several years ago as gift. Old printer had 4 larger cartridges which lasted significantly longer than 2 smaller cartridges and cost about the same. Thus cartridges good and displeased with printer cartridges. Was also difficult setting up replacement printer which was never used but perhaps 3 years old?

I bit and purchased HP Ink, specifically 61XL Black. Paid the extra so I could get a lot of printing done. That didn't work, I might possibly have printed 30 pages before the ink ran out, and none of them were solid coverage, text only. HP has racket here. Their moto should be "Buy our fairly priced printer so we can charge you a great deal to use it." "We think you're all a bunch of suckers!"

You changed your product and sent an email saying that the new ink would be compatible with existing cartridges already installed. IT ISN'T!!!! I had ink in my color cartridge and didn't want to waste it but you sent me a new black ink cartridge. I immediately received error messages from you. I am really disappointed with my latest purchase of the ink cartridges I purchased for my HP all in one printer. They were not compatible. I have used these same 64xl cartridges for four years with no problems. I couldn't understand the tech because she definitely spoke with an asian accent. I like that I can order my ink cartridges on line and they are delivered to my home within a few days. I like using the ink cartridges as they are easy to install and I get several months of use when I order the XL size. They sometimes offer discounts pricing, which I really like as they can get expensive.

I have been buying HP 64XL from HP website for a few years. The last cartridge lasted 2 months rather than 5 months—same user, same usage. I tried to contact HP but no response. This will be my last order. I don’t like to purchase from Amazon but I will go back to them.

7855 Printer : Disappointed
Honestly the print cartridge was find but the printer was unable to print the pages I wanted. I was told 7855 didn’t have the capability. I believe the issue was with the settings. I’m very disappointed

Long lasting ink
For years I was using the regular 64 ink cartridge, but switched to the 64XL. The ink quality is very good and of course, it lasts a long time before having to replace the cartridge.

Bigger is Better
The larger (XL) lasts longer and is therefore much more convenient. You also save money in buying the larger cartridge - better value.

I’ve had my current HP printer for about 3 years. It uses #64 toner. I usually order the XL toner and buy one color and one black. I usually use twice the black as the color. My printer makes beautiful prints.
