I repeatedly got an error message about the color cartridge and had to remove it so that my printer would print (in black ink). The cartridges are very easy to put in and remove, so that is a positive. They do not last very long, so that is a negative. Overall, I would say that this is an average product.

I read the reviews on Amazon that told me to stay away from your products but my past history with your company had been good. But alas I was wrong I should have listened to the 50 plus negative Amazon reviews.Your customer service is awful as well as your product I will never buy another HP product or ever recommend one to a family or friend.

The quality of the ink is good but I don’t think I get the number of pages that they say on the description. We don’t print a lot, but it seems I’m ordering ink more frequently than with my previous printer. The previous printer used 564 ink. I changed printers as I needed a printer that was compatible with my current electronic devices.

Gave me an error message saying one of the cartridges wasn't in properly. I read the how-to, took them in and out, tried to call HP (it was an automated system that couldn't seem to connect me to a person) and finally gave up.

Sadly they don't make their photosmart printers any more so I cannot download pictues from my Cannon camera using the sim card BUT, the printer itself is awsome. First instead of having to buy 5 cartridges of ink (regular black, photo black, red, blue and yellow) now there are only 2 cartridges. One for black and the other for color. Also it is my first WiFi product - so great not to have all those cords to plug in. And lastly so easy to load paper in one tray and another tray to load photo paper and envelopes. So very easy to use. Not sure but so far the ink cartridges seem to last longer than the old ones. Guess now I need an I Phone to take pictures.

I am 92 and have a lot of old family pictures, that many of my large family want copies of while I am still around to tell them about the pictures. The level of ink as indicated on the printer screen was that I had 50% remaining in the cartridge. I finally gave up trying to align and clean the cartridge and ordered a new black cartridge, even though the printer indicated that I had 50% remaining. The new cartridge solved the problem ... but it appears I lost half the ink in my previous cartridge.

It's hard to get excited about a couple of print cartridges but I will say that any time I've stuck with HP cartridges I've had no printing issues. If I venture out and try the off brands, I get leaks, uneven color, etc. So I'm committed to using only HP.

The reason for getting a new printer , my old one a HP Envy 5530 after over15 years started having problems printing. The paper started jamming up all the time.I needed to print some documents in a hurry and did not have time to fool with it. I have had HP printers since the first Desk Jet 500 printer came out. I found a good deal online and bought it. They always say the original cartridges you get with a new printer don't have much in them so I bought this combo set on HP. The reason I say don't waste your money is that off market, re filled or fill yourself cartridges are a waste of money. Nothing beats original cartridges in quality of print, how many pages you can print, and no muss no fuss installation. The only way to be sure you are getting the real thing at the best price is at the HP store. By the way the original cartridges I got with the printer are still going strong. way to be sure

When I selected my replacement ink cartridges I went with the original brand. A bonus feature was the envelope included for return and recycle of my old cartridges. Since I switched to an HP printer and using HP 64 cartridge the problem went away. I was told the lines on my documents were not a fault of the printer but the ink arounds the jets. Very happy with my switch.

I do love my hp printer but I definitely need xl cartridges instead of just standard cartridges. Otherwise good product and quality when printing. Wish it gave more ink. I would use the ck again just not the standard cartridges.

But about 3 months ago I purchased tri color and black cartridges from Best Buy, they didn't work, so when I tried to return to Best Buy they would not take them, and said I had to go directly to HP, well tried emails and phone numbers and they always said I had wrong contact information. So that was approximately $68 that I spent and had to discard them, I actually sent them in a prepaid package (that I got in the mail) back to HP for reuse I guess.

Although the cartridge level indicated I had well over half ink remaining, the printing output became sparse and then stop completely. Of course before we ordering I attempted to clean the cartridges repeatedly. When that failed I reordered the ink. Perhaps this was a fluke. But in any case, the cartridges are too expensive to replace with 50% of the product remaining.

My first impression was the colors were not as good as the old type. However the second set does seem to be better than the first set. With this style you cannot see the ink level in the cartridge, even though the printer does tell you the availability. It is easy to put in. There ae only two cartridges to deal with instead of several. As I do not need anything to be extra bright, sharp, or whatever, this is just fine for my needs. Do wish ink was a bit cheaper though. Overall, satisfied. Only had one other printer, and it used HP ink too, which was fine. Am not an aficionado over these things, just know if it works for me or not, and it does.

I purchased the double 64 Black Noir & Tri-color and they do not work in my printer. I tried to return them only to be notified via email that I cannot return the ink cartridges because they’ve been opened. I am out over $40 because your site suggested the wrong ink cartridges for my printer and I cannot return them because they’ve been opened, none of this makes sense. Poor business practices! I won’t be shopping with HP again, I will buy my cartridges somewhere else with better knowledge of what work with my printer.

Out initial iinstall showed an error message. It is difficult to almost impossible to find the phone support number for HP or chat link, if one exists. I finally found a tech support number. Once on, the agent, I would say, was very helpful, and we walked thru the issue to determine the cartridge was dry. She reordered a replacement cartridge, but it has been a week and still no delivery.

After school ended I wasn't printing enough for it to be cost effective, and wanted my freedom to print as much or as little as I want. I also am terrified of reoccurent purchases. I liked the freedom to purchase my ink at my convienience as needed and not worry about how many pages were used. I then realized that buying ink from big box stores isn't always the best becuase it gets old and dries out quickly. Buying direct from Hp is now the way to go because I get a discount by using my Wells Fargo or Discover card and its fresh, shipped fast to my door. I hate buying online but this is the only way to guaruntee fresh ink!

Takes too long to get it to me and in the past have had issues with your online sending me ink automatically. My credit card changed and you cancelled the subscription.... then it was so difficult to change to a new card.

They can stop use of a cartridge you installed from Instant Ink when you stop service? I barely print and am charged monthly for ink? Total nonsense. This cartridge will probably last me six months or more. just buy the cartridge.

My problem is that I dont use my printer very often and the ink cartridge often has dried up before I print my next page. I usually resort to borrowing someone else's printer because my ink has dried up between uses.

This time there was no problem and I have been using it regularly. Both deliveries came with a pre-paid bag to return old cartridges for recycling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not good unless you’re subscribed It’s insulting and ridiculous that HP is forcing customers to purchase the ink monthly . I’ve tried enrolling in the program but I simply don’t print much , however the ink they send you for subscription is of the highest quality and lasts long time . Now if you just want to buy regular HP ink and not enroll in monthly program you will pay exact same amount but your ink will disappear after ten pages !! I am vastly disappointed and I am regretting dearly buying HP printer because I hate to be forced into spending money for service I don’t use .
