These cartridges worked well for about two weeks before my Photosmart D110 again stopped cooperating. The display on my printer reads " At least one of the Cartridges has a problem". I have followed the instructions found on HP forums that suggest cleaning the contacts with deionized water, powering off the unit, etc. without resolving the issue. At this point, I am unsure of what else to do. HP forums suggest that this is a somewhat common issue for the HP Photosmart D110.

I would have gotten them faster from Walmart Online. I would think that ordering them from the manufacturer, would have put them in my hands much sooner than a retail store, but I guess I was wrong. I'm also a little bummed because after opening them & putting them in my printer, I found that I ordered the wrong # of cartridge. I'm so mad at myself! I ordered 60's & I needed 61's. I've had a lot of problem with this 60, 61, 62. Seems I never can get it right the 1st time. You know, they all fit in my printer! Why the heck can't they work? I inserted the cartridges as per instructions, the same way I have done many times before. The printing is of very poor quality, with distorted colors and lines running through everything I print. I have tried all the methods listed on the troubleshooting page but nothing is working and the print quality is terrible. I have put in a request for exchanging the item but it has not been processed yet.

I am quite disappointed with HP that your company continues to price your ink cartridges so high that I am paying about the same price for this 2-pack (of Black/Tricolor cartridges) as I originally paid for the printer itself. It's like buying the printer over & over each time I need new ink cartridges! I am also unhappy with the volume of tricolor ink. I know it probably costs more to produce, but at prices like this your company can afford to be more generous with your goods!! For these reasons, I am thinking of replacing my hp printer with another brand, one that has good quality products & does NOT charge an arm & a leg for the ink!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best overall cartridge choice I’ve done all the math: comparing the cost per page of all the different cartridge sizes, and comparing the cost of all the different cartridge sizes at various sources. Overall there is very little cost difference per page from one size cartridge to the other. The main advantage to an “XL” cartridge with more ink than an “economy” cartridge that will print fewer pages, is not so much any significant savings in cost per page, but mainly just the convenience of the higher capacity meaning you may not need to buy a replacement cartridge so frequently. As to source, it appears all the major retailers, both online and storefront, have the same prices for all the same cartridges. So why buy possible old stock from elsewhere if you can get possibly fresher stock direct from HP, for almost exactly the same price or better? Finally it’s convenient to always buy the pair (b/w and color), because there is a small cost advantage, but mostly because that way you always have a spare on hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY - current manufacturing issue The 60 black ink has a current manufacturing problem where it will not align with your printer. I've used the same printer with same 60 ink for ten years without issue until now. This ink I bought in April, but my black ink didn't run out until a few weeks ago. When I switched out the black cartridge, and even though the printer gave no alignment errors, the ink printed a shadow on the text (see image). I tried every solution in the book to fix it and even bought a whole new set of cartridges from Staples (that say expire July 2022) and that black had the same problem. It wasn't until someone on the HP help forums said they had the same problem and fixed it by ordering old expired ink off Ebay. Well, I did that and my printer is working again! So clearly there is some current manufacturing issue with 60 black ink. Hope HP gets this figured out asap. This issue caused me so much stress, time, and money. I almost bought a new printer because of this!

Bad decision. I used about half the cartridge and although my HP printer read “full” nothing would print. In addition, the printed pages had tiny ink splatters and spots in miscellaneous places. I’ll never do that again. Got wise and purchased the HP color + black duo (free shipping was an added bonus) and have had no problems! Learned my lesson and will only use HP ink for my HP printer. This way I can always be assured of what I am getting!

It prints out very good letters and pictures. The color prints out impeccable and is almost "picture prefect".

I only use about 4-6 black and 3-4 color a year, which is surprising since I print a lot. Once I cheated with something from the supermarket that claimed to be the same, but it was not. Made me think my printer was dying, but it was the faulty cartridge.

The pricing compared to the local Walmart has usually been a little less, given free shipping. I have never had an issue with the cartridges and I assume when purchasing direct that I may be getting the most current inventory. Expedited shipping is not currently available due to COVID but this is usually not an issue as I plan ahead--however, hopefully the expedited option will return after COVID in case one would need it. Also, HP always provides a recycling envelope that is convenient.

I wasn't able to purchase it at my usual Walmart or even Rite Aid, so I decided to try this home delivery out! WOW! First of all it was less expensive than buying at Rite Aid and even Walmart! I was totally surprised and pleasantly, too. It did take a little longer to get to my house, again due to the coronavirus issue with the postal service, but I will definitely do this again! Rated 5 out of 5 by from wont read ink level The cartridge will not register as having any ink so I had to put back in the old empty cartridge which is registering empty I guess the other cartridge the new one just didn’t register anything because at least empty old one Registers to the printer although registers as empty I really have no idea but all I know is it won’t work in my freaking printer even though it’s the right one #60 Just keeps flashing on the printer ink level! Now I’m trying to return it and HP doesn’t seem to understand what’s going on only one of the cartridges was bad.

Followed all the steps in the reference manual to try to get this cartridge to work, but to no avail. Popped the old color cartridge back in (which registers, but is empty). The black cartridge they sent did work, so looks like I'll just stick to printing black&white documents.

In fact this HP ink towers way above the ink found in a Bic pen. I can't vouch for the consistency, texture or taste because I am not an ink connoisseur but I would suppose it's good.

You were able cross match ink with printer and provide the desired color/black and size I wanted, perfect! A little pricey for direct distribution, oh well beggars choosers! Thank you.

The vendor includes a postage-free mailer to return the used cartridges. This suggests that they recondition then resell the product. Don't know the longevity of the ink supply as I acquired the printer for no money from a Reuse & Recycle Day we did here in Glens Falls, NY. It seemed to work OK but I hesitated to buy new cartridges due to their high cost. Seemed a gamble as to the "longer-term testing" of an old printer, but finally bought some. So far, so good, but I will further report as to the real "value" of "pages per dollar" in subsequent submissions. I have, with other manufacturers, bought refill-your-own kits in an effort to save money. Probably a better approach!

Installation & Compatibility (5/5): The cartridge was incredibly easy to install. It slides right into the printer with no fuss, and the printer immediately recognized it without needing any troubleshooting or extra steps. It’s fully compatible with several HP printer models, including the HP DeskJet, Photosmart, and OfficeJet series, which makes it a versatile choice for various users. Print Quality (4.5/5): The print quality has been impressive. Text is sharp and crisp, with no visible smudging or bleeding, even on standard printer paper. When printing color images, the colors come out vibrant and true to what you see on screen. However, for professional photo printing, it’s not quite on par with premium photo ink cartridges. Still, for everyday printing needs like documents, school papers, or family photos, it does the job exceptionally well. Ink Longevity & Page Yield (3.5/5): One downside of the HP 60 is its relatively low page yield. HP claims it can print up to 200 pages for the black ink and 165 pages for the color cartridge at 5% page coverage. In practice, I found that it starts running low sooner than expected, especially with frequent color printing. If you do a lot of printing or high-volume tasks, you may go through the cartridge faster than you’d like, meaning it may not be the most cost-effective option for heavy users.
