Outrageously expensive
I resent being hostage to HP's business model and as soon as I find a more cost-effective approach to printing, I will finally abandon HP -- having been loyal to this American brand for my entire career. I teach and have a small business and simply resent the cost of constantly having to replace cartridges at costs that exceed the original printers.

HP makes their equipment to be quality-compatible only with their ink/toner supply; then they charge outrageous prices for the ink/toner. If you purchase other then HP ink/toner, the quality isn't as good, but the price sure beats HP.

Great product but cost is way too high
this is a great product but when you spend more on replacement cartridges than on the printer itself there is something wrong with that. It's the same old bait and switch method, cheap printer and refills that cost 10 times more than they should.

Really good for backup reasons!
The toner cartridge itself works perfectly and the two-pack provides a backup so when the first one runs out you still keep going and have time to order another pack. That is very handy and you do not need to be so aware about having what you need.

Frustrating customer service.
I bought 2 two packs Black Cartridge 201x (CF400x) and 2 multiple color packs for both my offices. I bought early to have on hand since I was running lower on color and would need the black toner soon. When I installed the black cartridge in March at office 1 both were defective. It showed ink present but did not print. I checked to make sure it was the cartridges and not my printer by bringing it to my second office which has the exact same printer. It did not work either. I brought the spare cartridge from office 2 and it worked in office 1 so the printer was fine but not the cartridges. When calling the resolve this and get an exchange it has been a complete waste of time and frustration. Getting transferred, put on hold, told can not exchange only with resolution department that answers after 75 min wait only to be disconnected. OMG this is terrible. I have wasted 3 days on this and still not helped. Normally HP is very good quality but not helpful getting this issue resolved.

I bought both black and color cartridges for my HP MFP M277c6 printer, I installed the yellow and black cartridges as the printer alerts - and the printer immediately started producing high quality black and white and color copies again. I have used HP products for over 40 years both computers, printers, and electronic test equipment as an engineer - they are the best!!

I love how reliable it prints. I dislike that if I make an error and print documents 2-sided, and the backside is clean, that the toner still counts against me as a page even though it used no toner.

I have always believed that HP leads the pack in printing products, inkjet and laser. The only printers I have ever purchased have been HP. And accordingly, the best cartridge products for those printers are original, genuine HP products.

The only problem I have is that I couldn't get the black high yield cartridge in a single pack all the other cartridge packs wire singles other than that they are all easy to order and replace in the machine.

Expensive But Reliable
As a now-retired IT professional, I have been touting the benefits of HP printers for the last 20 years. When I decided several years ago that I needed a decent printer at home, I bought a color LaserJet Pro. When a friend needed new printers for his office, I bought three HP printers and set them up for him. I was given some off-brand cartridges for my printer, so I tried them. They gave me a decent print, but the cartridges started constantly leaking toner onto the pages about halfway through their lives. Red and yellow failed about the same time, and blue began to fail about three weeks later. I switched them out for HP cartridges, and then ordered these HP black cartridges. So far, the quality is good, but I will have to wait and see about the life. I have not had problems in the past with HP products, but they were once made in the US, as well.
