Product was super easy to install although I did not use the included software because I have Paragon Drive Copy. Just remember to order the 3.5 inch adapter bracket if installing in a desktop computer. I have not purchased this product as well as memory from Crucial and have never been disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 byNot a technician from A step down in satisfaction this timeAbout 3 years ago I ordered a new SSD for my Laptop from Crucial. Everything went great and I was totally satisfied. I recently bought another one for a new Laptop and I was somewhat disappointed. Not so much with the products themselves, but the buying experience.I ordered a new drive and it was listed under my Dell model. But I was not informed that I would need a mounting bracket and a cable. I figured they would have told me I needed something else as I did the system scan and all. Turns out I had a M.2 drive in my laptop and I ordered a 2.5. They don't even sell the cable or bracket. I had to place another order from another vendor to get the job done. Also, they never prompted me that I would need a conversion kit. Luckily the old one I had worked.My point being, if anyone is listening, the first buying experience i remember being as great. I received everything in one shot. This was a very frustrating experience. I should have been prompted of the format difference in the drives and that I would need a conversion kit. This time I didn't even think about looking at other vendors since my last experience was so good. Next time I will look around.

It was basically unusable due to how slow it was. Decided to swap out the HDD to this SSD - and wow - amazing is all I can say. Faster than ever - feels like a modern day laptop once again - totally surprised how my laptop feels now ..

Rated 5 out of 5 bySparky from OK unless you need supportThe Acronis software, which must be downloaded ONLY when the new drive is physically attached to your device would not install. I sent emails to both Acronis (Not our problem since it is a OEM version) and Crucial (Go to this website which has nothing to do with your problem). Tried contacting crucial by phone but gave up after holding for 20 minutes. Got the problem solved by downloading a free trial of Macrium Reflect 7. Worked like a charm.

The installation will allow me to continue to use my old standby system for a long time to come. Prior to the installation, the laptop was starting to show its age via the slow speed of operation.

It was super easy to clone the drive. FYI, you'll need a SATA to USB cable. Installation took a few minutes and when I fired up the computer, it was amazing!
