The Cisco C-NIM-4X is the next generation Form-factor LAN/WAN NIM modules that provide enhanced security, reliability, and performance. The Cisco C-NIM-4X module provides Small Form-Factor Pluggable Plus (SFP+), 10G and 1 Gigabit connectivity. Also, Cisco C-NIM-4X supports Layer 2 and Layer 3 configurable Ethernet NIM module. The Cisco C-NIM-4X modules are supported only on a NIM slot and do not work in an adapter card in the service module slot. You can insert a Cisco C-NIM-4X Network Interface module on the Cisco Catalyst 8200 and 8300 Series Edge Platforms.
