Official Contest Rules & Regulations

CONTEST SPONSOR:  The CDW Cisco Headset 720 Series Draw Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored and administered by CDW Canada Corp. (“CDW” or “Sponsor”), with offices at 185 The West Mall, Suite 1700, Etobicoke, Ontario, M9C 5L5. This contest is sponsored solely by CDW and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, its Prize providers, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram.

CONTEST ELIGIBILITY:  The Contest is open to Canadian residents (excluding residents of Quebec) who at the time of entry are of the age of majority. Any person, including without limitation any public sector employee, who is prohibited by any law, regulation, or policy (including without limitation any policy imposed by its employer) from entering this Contest or accepting a Prize is not eligible to enter the Contest. Any employee of CDW or its parent, affiliated or related companies and any person who is domiciled with a CDW employee or an employee of CDW’s parent, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, agents, Prize providers, promotional and advertising agencies and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the Contest.

CONTEST PERIOD:  The Contest begins at 9:00 a.m. ET on Thursday, June 1, 2023, and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 31, 2023 (the “Contest Period”).

HOW TO ENTER:  To enter the Contest (“Contest Entry”), eligible individuals (“Entrants”) must submit their entry via the contest landing page (the “Website”) during the Contest Period. To submit a Contest Entry, and eligible individual will submit their information for a chance to win.

Limit of one (1) Contest Entry per Entrant in the Contest per draw. To be eligible, all content and materials associated with any Contest Entry you submit (collectively, the “Contest Entry Materials”) must: (i) be submitted and received in accordance with these Rules; (ii) include all required information; and (iii) be in accordance with these Rules, including, but not limited to, the specific Submission Requirements listed below (all as determined by CDW in its sole and absolute discretion). CDW may at any time in their sole discretion disqualify any Contest Entry who: does not meet the ‎Contest’s eligibility criteria, fails to comply with these Rules, attempts to enter the Contest in any manner ‎or through any means other than as described in these Rules, attempts to disrupt the contest or attempts ‎to circumvent any of these Rules.‎ CDW is not responsible for and Entrants assume all risk of lost, stolen, late, delayed, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible or unintelligible Contest Entries. All Contest Entries submitted become the sole property of CDW and will not be returned.

CONTEST DRAW:  CDW will conduct one (1) random draw from all eligible Contest Entries (the “Prize Draw”). The Prize Draw will take place at approximately 11:00 a.m. ET on September 1, 2023. The Prize Draw will be held in Toronto, ON.

The Entrant whose Contest Entry is randomly selected (the “Selected Entrant”) will be eligible to receive the Prize. The odds of a Contest Entry being selected depend on the number of eligible Contest Entries received during the Contest Period.

PRIZE:  Subject to complying with these Official Contest Rules & Regulations (the “Rules”), the Selected Entrant will be eligible to receive one (1) Cisco Headset 720 Series (the “Prize”), with an approximate retail value of CND$758.05. There will be a total of one (1) Prize available to be won.

CDW has the right to substitute a Prize with a prize of equal or greater value in its sole discretion.  The Prize is non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash and does not include any ancillary services whatsoever.

For order to ship, account must be in good financial standing. The order is subject to CDW’s standard terms and conditions of sale available at CDW.ca. CDW does not warrant the in-stock availability of every product or service at the time of order.

If for any reason whatsoever the Prize Winner (as defined below) incurs any costs in utilizing the Prize, then the Prize Winner will be solely responsible for all such costs.

PRIZE AWARDS:  The Selected Entrant will be notified by CDW by using the contact name and contact information provided in the Entrant’s Contest Entry immediately after the Prize Draw. CDW or its designated representative will make two (2) attempts to contact the Selected Entrant within ten (10) business days of the Prize Draw. If the Selected Entrant cannot be contacted as outlined above, or if there is a return of any notification as undeliverable; then he/she may, in the sole and absolute discretion of CDW, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the Prize) and CDW reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion and time permitting, to randomly select an alternate to a Selected Entrant for the Prize from among the remaining eligible Entries submitted and received in accordance with these Rules (in which case the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to such newly Selected Entrant).

To be eligible to win the Prize, the Selected Entrant must have complied with the Rules and must execute a Statement of Eligibility and Publicity and Prize Release (the “Statement”), which will confirm, among other things, the Entrant’s: (a) compliance with the Rules and confirmation of eligibility; (b) acceptance of the Prize as awarded; and (c) consent to CDW’s collection, storage, use and disclosure of the Entrant’s personal information in connection with the Contest and to provide or promote CDW’s products and services, without limitation and without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. The Selected Entrant must also correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other assistance, which is included on the Statement. The Statement must be signed by the Selected Entrant and returned to CDW, as instructed on the Statement.

When the correctly completed and signed Statement (including skill-testing question) is received by CDW and CDW has confirmed the Selected Entrant’s compliance with the Rules, the Selected Entrant will be declared a “Prize Winner”. In the event of: (a) non-compliance with the Rules; or (b) if the Prize is unclaimed by the Selected Entrant or the Selected Entrant cannot be immediately located after the Prize Draw; or (c) if the Statement (including skill-testing question) is not fully and correctly completed and signed by the Selected Entrant; such Selected Entrant will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize and an alternate Entrant may be randomly selected in CDW’s sole discretion.

After CDW’s declaration of the “Prize Winner”, the Prize will be delivered by CDW to the Prize Winner either as mutually agreed upon between CDW and each Prize Winner.  Each Prize must be accepted by the Prize Winner as awarded. CDW makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the quality or suitability of the Prizes.

The Prize will be delivered to the Prize Winner within six (6) weeks of the Prize Draw. CDW is not responsible for any damage to or loss of the Prize that may occur as a result of, or in the course of delivery of the Prize, including whether or not delivery is made within six (6) weeks to the Prize Winner.  CDW is not responsible for any damage to or loss of the Prize that may occur after the Prize is delivered to the Prize Winner.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:  In order to submit a Contest Entry in the Contest, each Entrant will be required to disclose his or her full legal name, company name, and e-mail address. Certain of this information is or may be considered to be “Personal Information”.  ****By submitting a Contest Entry, each Entrant hereby expressly consents to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of his or her Personal Information by CDW for the purposes of administering the Contest, notifying the Selected Entrant, announcing the Prize Winner, verifying the Prize Winner with Prize provider, contacting each Entrant to solicit sales for CDW products and services and as otherwise permitted pursuant to CDW’s privacy policy, a copy of which can be found at www.CDW.ca. Personal Information supplied by an Entrant and/or disclosed to CDW will be treated in accordance with CDW’s privacy policy.

The Prize Winner’s first name, first initial of last name, city and province of company where Prize Winner is employed and/or photograph taken of the Prize Winner by CDW in any form may be published on CDW’s websites (e.g. www.CDW.ca), disclosed to Prize providers and/or included in an e-mail sent by CDW at the discretion of CDW.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:  By entering the Contest, each Entrant hereby acknowledges and agrees: (a) to be bound by the Rules; (b) that he or she is responsible for all costs, expenses, fees, other disbursements, and applicable federal and provincial taxes, as applicable, if the Entrant receives the Prize; and (c) CDW’s decisions as to eligibility and all other matters in connection with the Contest are final. If CDW determines, in its sole discretion, that an Entrant has not complied with the Rules, such Entrant shall be disqualified from the Contest.

By submitting a Contest Entry each Entrant hereby releases and agrees to hold harmless CDW and its parent, affiliated and related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, and each of their directors, officers, employees, agents, advertising and promotional agencies, Prize providers, and their successors and assigns, from and against any and all claims, including without limitation third party claims, expenses, costs, loss, injury or damage of any kind including without limitation personal injury, bodily injury, disability or death, or property damage, resulting from entry in the Contest, selection of an Entrant, declaration of the Prize Winner, acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Prize, administration of the Contest or any Contest-related activity or CDW’s collection, storage, use and disclosure of the Entrant’s Personal Information, or any combination of the foregoing.

The Prize Winner will indemnify and hold harmless CDW and its parent, affiliated and related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, and each of their directors, officers, employees, agents, advertising and promotional agencies, Prize providers, and their successors and assigns, from and against any and all claims, including without limitation third party claims, expenses, costs, loss, injury or damage of any kind including without limitation personal injury, bodily injury, disability or death, or property damage, resulting from entry in the Contest, selection of an Entrant, declaration of the Prize Winner, acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Prize, administration of the Contest or any Contest-related activity or CDW’s collection, storage, use and disclosure of the Prize Winner’s Personal Information, or any combination of the foregoing.

In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted a Contest Entry, the Contest Entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry.  “Authorized Account Holder” means the person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. The Selected Entrant may be required to provide proof that he or she is the Authorized Account Holder of the e-mail address associated with his or her Contest Entry and that he or she has all necessary consents, permissions and/or licenses (as applicable) as required by these Rules.

All Contest Entries are subject to verification by CDW in its sole discretion. CDW reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to CDW) to participate in this Contest.  Failure to provide such proof in a timely manner may result in disqualification. The Selected Entrant may also be required to provide proof that he or she is the contestant in respect of a Selected Entry. CDW reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual (and his or her Contest Entries) who tampers with the entry process.

CDW reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Contest at any time without notice should a cause beyond the reasonable control of CDW corrupt proper administration of the Contest or for any other reason.  Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should such an attempt be made, CDW reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

The Contest is subject to applicable Canadian federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.  The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
