good choice
I bought this just before ,Christmas my first effort was with a Samsungm 27 HD 4k which I returned because it lacked a USB -C easy connect for my new MacAir. This one was plug and play and with very good graphics.

Beautifule monitor for MacBook Air's but
It would be really great if the USB ports on the back of the monitor were powered. So far I haven't found anything that I can plug into them without getting the "drawing too much power" message in macOS.

Good monitor until it wasn't
I liked the color and resolution quality of this monitor. I found the control button to be unwieldy to use since everything was in one button. The monitor was wonderful until it developed "crosshair" lines of dead pixels across the middle of the monitor about 9 months after purchase. I shipped it to LG and am still waiting for LG to repair or replace it.

Excellent monitor
Very good quality. Image is top notch. Im using it as an external monitor with HDMI cable. Only one small complaint. The monitor wouldn't turn on when I started the computer. I tried different cables. This didn't help. The only thing that solved the issue was configuring the picture mode as 'cinema'.

Some trivialities spoil the mix
its a good monitor but I have a few 4k devices so I am not blown away anymore.
But the reason I write this is to warn buyers of a gross shortcoming of this device made all the worse by its "triviality". Buyers could be alerted to it by 1 simple word inserted at a crucial point but since LG chose not to they were not ashamed enough to fix it. You judge when I tell you: They wrote the USB ports on the monitor act as a USB hub. What they should have wrote is: as a unpowered hub, which is pretty weak as even the cheapest TV/monitors provide at least power to their ports, but big LG? no small mind!

Good image quality
I glad that I bought it. The graphic are really good specially for programming.
I bought it on Amazon, they had a better price.
The only think I don’t like are the buttons. I used two laptops with this monitor and I think they should have made it easier to which sources.

Great Monitor, poor power switch location
Monitor is great so far! Awaiting new PC to fully utilize the high resolution, but the size, clarity, and ease of set-up were really beyond my expectation. It is not the highest priced, but so far it's worth every cent. Highly recommended.
The only item I can list as a "what were you thinking" is the on/off button that controls all settings is less than user friendly, I am getting the hang of it though.

Great features and capabilities so far
Needed a second monitor for WFH and was looking at the whole segment of 4k. This monitor does a lot of things well and at a remarkable value. First the picture is top notch. The monitor supports tilt, pivot and swivel functions in addition to variable height. The assortment of connections is astounding and most wiring is supported by cables in the box. The monitor has a rudimentary cable/wiring control . The monitor is VESA 100 capable but use of the recessed panel can be a problematic for some monitor arms . I have only had it a month but love it so far.

Poor experience for Mac users
Only supply 40W of power, so I still have to plug in to the charger. What's even the point of that? 40W isn't going to charge most modern laptops. Mounts its firmware as an image in finder which I then have to eject or the Mac thinks I'm removing media without ejecting. Why would I want a monitor to mount its firmware outside of an update, which should require special software to mount?
Good looking display, would be great if connected via HDMI, but as a USB-C it leaves a lot to be desired,

Great value monitor, but no HDR.
I wanted either 27" or 30" monitors. 4K and IPS was a requirement, HDR was a bonus.
I got two of these and they're light (weight), got plenty of inputs, crisp clean display and a easy to use UI. I'm very annoyed that both the retailer I bought them from and LG is still advertising these as HDR10 capable when there's no evidence that they are. I can get HDr output from my desktop PC when I hooked it up to a HDR capable LG TV, so my system isn't the problem.

I think I got a dud
The display is sharp and colors look good and are pretty uniform, but limited resolutions with a 5 year old top of the line MacBook Pro with AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2 GB and Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB graphics. The only sharp resolutions are 3840 x 2160 (which makes text too small) and 1920x1080 (best setting). I wish I could get 2560x1440. The other resolutions are too small and blurry. I can't get higher than 30 hertz refresh rate, though the specs say I should get 60Hz. The USB hub on the back doesn't work. I tried multiple keyboards, mice, flash drive. I hooked it up with the supplied HDMI cord. I tried disabling energy saver, so the graphic cards just uses the Radeon card instead of Intel. I tried another MacBook Pro and same problem. I tried the same laptops with an HP Z27 and I get more resolutions/better scaling options. Speaking of which, it looks like this LG got its design cues from the HP Z27. The design is pretty good, thin bezels, but materials look cheaper, and has a plasticy feel, (compared to the HP, which looks more elegant and modern). It’s a little weird that the base swivels also (like it’s it’s on a turntable), but I like that I can turn it, raise, and tilt. It bothers me that the power cord has a big brick in the middle of it, and the part of the cord to the monitor is not long enough for the brick to sit on the floor, so it has to hang suspended, or you have to put a big black brick on your desk. If they made that cord about 6-8’’ longer, it could hide on the floor. So that’s an annoying design flaw. I can’t speak about the motion graphics, or gaming. I haven’t played Fortnite or any graphics intensive games yet. LG tech support over email was prompt and they offered a few suggestions, but they didn't solve the problems. LG tech support over phone was not very helpful. I assume I got a defective model — mainly because the USB hub doesn’t work. I’ll return this one. I haven’t decided if I want to try the same model again or go with something else.

No HDR and horrible backlight bleed. Stay away.
Wanted to love this monitor but the description is false. This unit does not support any form of HDR and the backlight bleed is unacceptable.

Great monitor, thin bezels, great 4k screen
Great monitor with usb-c and 4k resolution. Thin bezels make this monitor great for multi-monitor setups. Colors look fantastic and image is nice and sharp. Overall great for work and entertainment.

Great extension to a MBP
The monitor works well as an extension to my MBP. I has a usb-c connector (though I am using the HDMI). I have not used the USB ports nor the audio.

Excellent picture quality, punches far above its price point
This monitor is from LG's business lineup, hence the lack of consumer reviews. It's a very crisp matte display, ideal for productivity applications. And it feels almost soothing to look at. Near-LG UltraFine level color accuracy and zero off-angle washout effect. USB-C connection + the built in USB hub was an unexpected life changer: I only need one cable for display, keyboard, mouse, and power. There are certainly better monitors at a higher price for media production and the refresh rate isn't close to gaming levels. However, this panel punches far above its price point.

Great Intermediate for Image Processing
Pro:
- efficient design with thin bezel
- clean display of colors
- sharp, clear definition
- supports connectivity to both computers and AV stations
Con:
- only supports USB-C and HDMI so not compatible with older devices
- each visual port is specifically designed for either a PC or AV station, but not both

Great quality and features for the price - especially for MacBook Pro users
We purchased several of these after searching for a decently priced 27" 4K monitor that would also provide power to MacBook Pros via its USB-C cable. This model is great. It has a simple, minimal design and an excellent picture. Unlike LG's super expensive "UltraFine" monitors, these do not provide the full charging wattage that a MacBook's own power cable would provide (85 W) -- but they do provide 40 Watts, which was more than any other comparably priced 4K Thunderbolt 3-enabled monitor available at the time we bought... And that's still plenty of power.

awesome for the price!
great monitor, really happy with the price and features! it is hard to find a good monitor with an adjustable stand (and not silver!)
3 year warranty - check
IPS panel - check
4k - check. I was hesitant about 4k but man it is so crisp and sharp. I use it for coding and was not sure it was worth it to get 4k but at this price it is a no brainer.
Usb-c and a hub - wow this is really neat. I hooked up my elitebook with one cable and it can charge my laptop from a monitor and has 2 usb slots for my webcam and keyboard. It is really like a docking station, love this feature! note it only gives 40Wt of power so may not work for your machine that requires 90Wt.
maybe the only think i would like is more usb ports.
Love the stand - highly adjustable, sturdy and not silver! :)
and did i mention how sharp the text, icons and pictures are??
I had to scale dpi to 170% but 150% was okay too. If you have eagles eyes you can probably do 125%. at 100% text is so tiny that you cannot really see it.
